You will be asked a series of questions. For Username we suggest you use the same Username as on Proboards (for continuity and easy identification by your forum friends). Note, there is a special place where you will have to match a series of letters (this is to protect the forum).
Why? As well as ensuring that there is one easy location to go to for all fans activity now and in future, SMF is more modern forum software – it has some nice features for you, the user, to play with, eg. ‘Show unread posts since last visit’, ‘Show new repliers to your posts’. Take some time to see and get used to the other features built around your own profile setup.
What about the old forum? This will be progressively closed but will be retained as an Archive of our years of discussions and the wild ride we all have had - you will be able to locate threads and posts, but not post anything new – see the new special board for links. Questions? If you have any questions on this communication, or the new Forum, or site – PM the mods listed on the new boards or the administrator at ‘fadmin’.

Re: Round 17 V Adelaide « Result #5 on Dec 15, 2007, 10:10pm »
Could have had four or five before Adelaide woke up; Played great confident attacking football for an hour, defended intelligently and desperately. Aloisi missed a sitter, brilliantly set up by Hutchinson and Heffernan, only moments before Adelaide scored. At 3-0 we wouldn't have had to be desperate. A great result and looking good for Sydney.

Yee-haa!!! Great away win over in Boresville! I dont have Fox Sports so I didnt see the game but I was following progress scores on Fox Sports News. I look forward to reading match reports on here (where is everyone?).
Bring on Sydney next weekend! It'd be great to see Bluetongue Stadium packed to capacity for it.

Good to see Alex being recognised. Also good to see Terry Greedy in there. He used to a Deputy Principal on the Coast and I believe he had some early tie up with the Mariners as Socceroo 'patrons' or the like along with Joe Marston.

Re: Ferguson going back to Scotland? « Result #19 on Dec 13, 2007, 1:38pm »
Was just having a quick browse through one or 2 Scottish football websites, and noticed an interesting article on the Dunfermline naming a certain Graham Arnold as a possible candidate.
Yes, after 3 years, 1 months and 2 weeks (plus over 5K threads and 155K posts) fun, fun, fun - the Central Coast Mariners Fans Forum is migrating from our old ‘Proboards’ site to a new site based on ‘SMF’ (Simple Machines) software and system.
This base site and software is generously provided and supported by Mad Eye Deer (‘Adz’ the very key man) in conjunction with the Marinators Club, and is integrated with www.marinators.net web site as a ‘one stop’ fans place for all Mariners fans. The Fans Forum operations, administration, and moderation remain as a separate entity - as it has been in the past.
The Marinators Club will now also have there a separately managed Forum with dedicated boards for MC business and communications with fans. Watch for news from the MC.
When? Now, or any time over the next week if possible (we hope to progressively close the Proboards site by the week starting 17 December 2007. You may of course register on the new site at any time in future.
What do I do?
If you have already registered on that site to use the test forum - just start posting everything there from now on! If you are NOT already registered, you will need to set yourself up there. Click on ‘Register’

If you wish you can PM the Forum admins via username ‘fadmin’ – this will reach the admins and moderators – and ask for your old post count to be brought across (just give us some time please).

Questions? If you have any questions on this communication, or the new Forum, or site – simply reply to this PM, or PM the moderators on Proboards, and we will answer as soon as possible. In future PM the mods on listed on the new boards.
Note: Re-read the Forum rules, which remain for the new site. Your posts are your responsibility and yours alone – the Admins, Mad Eye Deer, the Marinators Club, CCLC, or CCMFC do not take responsibility for your rule breaking!

Re: Round 16 vs QLD « Result #29 on Dec 12, 2007, 6:32pm »
Simply answer on delay is we transmit (via a special modem and phone line). We can get our signal to air much quicker then Fox as we don't have pictures nor use a satellite. We wouldn't put our signal on delay etc as we try to broadcast as close to live as possible. (The same issued has been raised a million times around NRL/AFL/Cricket).
On stations and dealy's it is no longer a regualtory requirement to use delay (like the old days) but many stations choose to do it as an insurance policy when taking public talk back calls.
On Aaron he is a great caller and he should be calling the football when the ABC does it nation wide, everytime as the main caller, not only when David Morrow isn't available. David is a thugby league caller not a football caller!
