How many has he got ?

just read that article and it says the johnny agreed to the deal at 2am in the bloody morning. WTF I don't care what time it was, it's now PARTY time! What a bloody shame he will not debut in Wellington. What a hoot. Just keep playing that post goal run around Aussie Stadium on the bog screen at Bluetounge before games to fire everyone up farken!

Incredible news!!!
I had tears in my eyes when my uncle texted me with the news today. If you were on my 5.15 train from Central this afternoon, no I am not a lunatic, just an insanely happy Mariners fan!
Thank you to Singo and to all Mariners club people involved in the signing.
Can anybody tell me what John Aloisi has been up to lately? I knew he played for Alaves in Spain, but was seemingly unwanted by them. Apparently he's been chased recently by Borough and by other A-League clubs like the Phoenix and Adelaide.

He's been off contract, but apparently training hard still, obviously not match fit but he feels he's fit enough to play next week.

I heard on Fox Sports earlier tonight that Aloisi has been training with his old club. Even better news to know that he wouldn't be all that far from being fit. Alosi >>>>>>>> Bridges >>>>>>>> Jardel EDIT- Found this on the Fox Sports website confirming he'd been training in Spain.

hopefully he gets heaps of time against sydney so he's fully fit for his first home game where he can destroy melbourne. We cant afford to lose to many more at this stage its getting to be a heaps close comp.

How good will our team be in a couple of weeks when we get Wilko back and hopefully Mrdja. How good would this line-up be:
..............Danny Clark...Wilko...Boogs...Heff Tommy...Jedi...Hutch...Kwas ........Aloisi...Mrdja
Trott Vidmar Gumprecht Petrovski

Petrovski is better than Mrdja, even if Mrdja ever gets fully fit, which won't ever happen.
Another moment where we'd have the greatest bench in Australian history, and Matthew Trott.

IMO a fully fit Mrdja is better than Sasho Petrovski. However we can dream all we want about a fully fit Mrdja but it won't ever happen as long as he's with us anyway.

What an inspirational day for the Mariners. This thread is out of control with predictions but thats exactly the position we are in now with this news. Going forward it will put us in the window for any player returning home who thought "Mariners yeah maybe".To "Mariners f*** Yeah"

FANTASTIC NEWS, AS EVERYONE HAS SAID!!!! Spot on on both counts, Andy - Mrdja & Aloisi would be a fantastic pairing, but it will more likely be Aloisi & Petrovski. I wonder if us keeping him beyond the end of the season depends on us offloading Mrdja......and maybe Vidmar.... ??

F*** YEAHIncredible news!!! I had tears in my eyes... My reaction too (and the same when we signed Viddy ;D) Sorry to be slow (just heard ). I've been out of touch all day - doing, you know stuff, looked at the a-league site to check the Syd-Adel result and ... WOW!!! Thanks seem due to Singo (I wonder how many more Bluetongues we need to drink to pay for him ... and can we keep him, PLEASE?) The news took away ALL the pain of seeing somebody other than Mariners on top of the table (by goals scored, with difference equal - I know, means nothing mid-round but we NEED a result)

However what I was saying was that if there was a choice between a fully fit Mrdja and a fully fit Petrovski, Mrdja would be the choice hands down IMO. Like you said the chances of us re-signing will depend on whether or not Mrdja and Vidmar will sign again. I personally doubt Vidmar will sign again, unless he agrees to take a huge, huge pay-cut. Whether we see Mrdja or not will depend on his knee and Lawrie's faith in him.
