After 4-1 and 2-1 aggregate, and their shite pre-season form compared to ours, anything they say about our team must mean worse for theirs Cheer up Nick Theo Oh how bad is this You've got a - team fullllll of wankers And a strip that looks like piss Also we could point out the fact they haven't won since January and they haven't won away since November. Maybe: (to Saints go marching in) You haven't won YOU HAVENT WON Away since Spring AWAY SINCE SPRING You havent won away since spring Oh why do you even bother? You havent won away since spring (to he's yellow, he's blue) You're homeless You're hairy Haven't won since January Scummers....Scummers...

i was thinking of a song, nice and simple and a little repetitive but shouldbe easy to learn and carries on for a while (making it easier for the noobs to pick up and join in).
it all follows the same tune, which i can't really describe and i can't think of something else that follows the same tune (if anyone can, please post it! ;D ). if you imagine singing it, it probably comes pretty naturally.
[arms in the air] stand up, stand up wherever you may be sing one and all for mariners fc
[everyone starts clapping in time] so clap your hands and sing along with me come one and all for mariners fc
[arms in the air] stand up, stand up wherever you may be sing one and all for mariners fc
[everyone starts waving their scarves around] so wave your scarves and sing along with me come one and all for mariners fc
[arms in the air] stand up, stand up wherever you may be sing one and all for mariners fc
[everyone starts jumping in time - if this is done right it could look bloody awesome] so jump up now and sing along with me come one and all for mariners fc
if people like it, then we could give it a trial run in the kendall, and then getting it up in the bay wouldn't be hard, because it's pretty simple. it's also the sort of thing we could loop a coupla times and we'd be abe to keep it going for a while.
the clapping is easy, we do it on other songs, the scarves thing is dependent on enough scarves being in the bay (pssst... buy scarves, the club will love you for it as well) and the jumping is the hardest bit to organise. people having arms on each others' shoulders and jumping in time is probably the easiest way of doing it, but if it's too much trouble then it can be ditched pretty easily.
also, if anyone has any edits or changes they think it needs, go nuts. i'm not precious, i just wouldn't mind seeing us try a few longer songs.

[snip] good song! i have a feeling that it's a song the victory have used, but that don't mean they made it up or can claim intellectual property rights etc. we should just be aware that there's sure to be tard trolls. not that that bothers me all that much, it's a bit like being whipped with lettuce after all...
