nice one chief these pics are popular... marinators.net did 15 times the average downloads yesterday, already 4 times the daily average today, from people looking at those piccys.. it usually peaks at about 2x after a game when we post pics.. Just looking throught the logs now, looks like we are getting linked to from all sorts of places, nrl forums, afl forums... all saying how good it is the coast is getting behind the team.. except for one twat nrl fan from Terrigal who says "....their is absolutely no hype about the soccer side, no one knows about it."ahahahaaa.. hmm.

Surely saying a comment like that admits that everyone actually does know about us, why would you bother commenting about something nobody knows about?

good stuff adz!
I actually felt quite moved just walking around down there. I was witnessing and documenting first hand the coast getting behind something for what is, really, the first time ever.
to talk about the mariners as a community based club and having the advantage of being our first exclusive central coast football club (of any code) is one thing, and we all did it when they came into existance and when we talked about why is could eventually be a success. but now it's not just talk, it's in shop windows and hanging off cars and houses and on people's backs. this week i've seen more mariners merch being worn around by people on the street than ever.
a lot of people seem to be visiting our site quite regularly. only hours after the pics went up i got an email from ben coonan. he'd been contacted by the owner of imperial centre because i'd accidentally labelled it as marketplace on the website (edited now). so you have random people randoming viewing the site on a random day of the week.

Great to see the shops, etc getting behind the Mariners Just a look through the Jets forum, saying how much better the Community involvment with the Mariners are to that of the Jets, couldn't help but think how many years have Newcastle had a football club in the National competition, and they still can't get the community involved
