So since AA7 only have 7 teams, will that mean 4 byes or will they make each team play each other 3 times which would be 18 rounds/games?

Hey,
If anyone knows any details of their clubs trials/friendlies in March post them here.
The only one I know of is: 12th March - Woy Woy vs East Gosford at Brisbane Water Secondary College (Woy Woy High)

The bloke that published team photos on the alternate site and pixelated out one 12 year olds face, because he doesn't like his old man, needs to have a good hard look at himself. Yeah thats pretty childish.

i will be playing AA for east gosford this season. as far as i know there has been a ludacris amount of people signing up, especially in the older ages. it seems the passion and dedication for football in australia is bigger and better than ever, hopefully it can keep growing. Might end up playing against you in AA on the 12th March. Woy Woy are hosting trials against East Gosford that day. Good to hear that the AA groups are booming as well.

In regards to the oldest registered player on the coast, I remember when we played against Wyoming in AA7 last year and there was this older bloke running around whom I initially thought was in his late 50's.
Anyway we were speaking to one of his team mates after the game and he said that he was like 74 or something! He seemed pretty fair dinkum as well!

IIn a trial match i ruptured a cruciate ligiment in my right knee - out for the season with a knee reconstruction. Go back to play the year after, get through one trial game and in the second i ruptured a cruciate ligiment in my left knee. That's right, two knee reconstructions in three games - one on each leg. (The actual playing time was probably closer to two games!). Oh man that is real bad luck!!! I got tackled last season and strained my cruciate and medial. My medial is fine now it is just the cruciate plays up occasionally when I bend down with my knees. Yeah surely it couldnt happen 3 times could it?? If you still have the determination despite what has happened injury wise in the past then go for it!

Hilly1981: I play grade mate, but next year im gunna play on the field instead of in goal, and just all age to get fit. Nice one. I could not see myself playing in goals. I would be absolutely terrible. I am hoping to play indoor early next year to get some match fitness before the season starts.

Bearinator: Do you play all age or grade? I take it you dont have a very positive view on the Woy Woy club I wasnt really clued up on what clubs or players thought of other clubs etc.. before I joined Woy Woy this year because I had been playing Rugby Union for the previous 4 years. Anyway I just play for the enjoyment factor and the last thing I do on the field is play dirty.

Wow Bearinator what did you do to get suspended for 12 weeks?
Played my 1st ever football season with Woy Woy this year in All Age.
Played most of the time as a striker and scored 2 goals (in my first game, then nothing for the rest of the season! had a couple of close calls)
Also played a little bit in defence and midfield. Probably play in the backs next season as I felt lost in the midfield.
Overall I had a great time and am looking forward to next season.

I play for Toukley - albeit in all age - and I can tell you that the Long Bay comment is way offside. I only saw first grade play a couple of times last season and I thought they did well considering they had only just been promoted. Rowdy is right, they do have an excellent coach and I think they could be a real force next season. I'd also keep an eye out for the mighty all age teams that we put out. As for Woy Woy calling us two headed, i can see the irony. Hey ryan which all age division did you play in 2005?

Info from the foxsports website
'Mariners players Sasho Petrovski and John Hutchinson were both suspended for the match but they will now miss next weekend's trip to Queensland Roar.'
