A chant does spring to mind but its too nasty even for a derby................mind you, one of girly Griffiths dives/niggling fouls is all it will probably take.

If Heffernens out we can put Brown in his spot and start gumps or tommy, a bit of extra speed in attack will mean the difference today, especially if they choose to play Laybutt...

TOMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice first start for the year. pity about the goal both jedi and clarky handballed in that scramble. Laybutt is almost as fat and useless as jardel. Overall satisfied but we still havent won a derby in a while

Personally I was disappointed. Mostly because of the decision to take off both Mori and Sasho. Simon just didn't cut it tonight, he had at least three opportunities that both of them would've buried. I know that it was entirely experience, but against the scum when we're only 1 up, was the wrong time to try to get him some. Tommy and Hutcho were fantastic in the centre of the park.

I felt exactly the same way. Just when we were fired up farkin, Lawrie makes a double substitution that basically gutted the forward line and put pressure back on the defence. I'm still waiting to see what Simon has to offer. He looked well off the pace.

Just watching the replay, WTF was with the squadrunts giant MUTE sign? I don't think they're all there. And even Simon Hill said what's toilet paper doing on the pitch, didn't think fans still did that these days. Marinators are coming through loud and clear in the audio. ;D

Mori, please start being selfish when in front of goal and have a shot yourself instead of passing. Its how you got the goals last year. I think Frank has f*cked your game up IMO

Good to see Serious14 starting an internet war on the scum fourm Seriously, their responses are just........ staggeringly immature. Do they even read what they've written before they press submit?? Basically, it's "you're gay and you're shit". Nice that they're so open minded up north.

I would have taken a draw before the match with our depleted backline, however it's very disappointing to concede with 8 minutes remaining or whatever it was. We have to get smarter at defending a lead.
I'm not having a go at Lawrie because I love the bloke, but as others are saying, he's subs are very difficult to understand. Every week they seem strange to me. He always seems to be taking the wrong blokes off.
How good was Tommy? That finish was superb. Champion footballer and the best player we have. I just hope he's not pissed at Lawrie and leaves at the end of the season for having almost no game time this season. You just can't have that sort of quality left to rot on the bench. There's seven other teams would kill to have him.
One last thing, we seem to lack composure at times going forward and turn the ball over far too easily. We're not maintaining possession like we should be. Think back to the way we held possession and moved the ball around against the tards. The ball does all the work and the opposition get tired and frustrated. Possession = goal scoring opportunities, goal scoring opportunities = goals (except for Roar of course).
Still can't complain too much. Who would have thought we'd be three clear, one-third into the season. However, we seriously need to raise the bar if we are going to finish on top of the ladder. The gap is closing.
