What a f*cked up precedent to set. What a horrible message to send to the general public, especially children and families who might be thinking about getting little Charlie into football. And people wonder why we're still not taken seriously by the mainstream media in this country.

Or is there a more basic reason why the "Griffiths" lunged for his balls??
Is there some deep seated desire issue that he needs to confess?? We mustnt judge the poor front bottom because his tastes differ from most of ours. We need to be tolerant of all types.
A man reaching out to touch another man isnt a crime you know. The FFA need to be congratulated for their open mindedness IMHO

you cannot say that an issue is dealt with on the field when the ref gives out a card because there are issues like this one that deserve more serious attention and sanction that a ref can give on the day in the spur of the moment.

Doesn't matter who the player is IMO you just can't do what Griffiths did.........
Kwasnik got a yellow card against Melbourne for picking the ball up and giving it back to the opposition, Griffiths got the same for striking an official? How does that work?
Video evidence shows that he showed intent to hit an official, it sets a terrible example, in any other football code he would be gone.
It will be interesting to see if Total Bling discuss this on Thursday, I know I sent an email stating my opinions.
In summary thou I agree with serious..........Griffiths is a f***ing cheating whinging cocky c**t and I seriously hope that 1 day he suffers a serious injury, we don't need pricks like him in the sport!

Throwing a punch at a ref in Associations match would get between a year and life.
FFA this is a bad bad bad bad news story. You have F***ed up big time. FIFA never meant it to apply to the actions of Joel. Tail wagging the dog for me FFA not a happy Midfielder.
