This is my opinion to date on our squad Most Improved / improving on previous seasons. The list is also my order in that I think Boogs is the most improved.
1) Boogs 2) Jedi 3) Hutch 4) Kwas
Waiting for the potential to shine through.
1) Matty S 2) Porter
The rocks we depend on.
1) Danny V 2) Heaf 3) Wilko (returning to field near you soon)
Slipping a little
1) Grumps 2) Tommy ( cut my wrist for saying it)
I will put all other into the squad

Boogs cant really be classed as most improved as he didnt play in V1 or v2 (all bar a few seconds).
Most improved from last season would have to be HUtcho surely. The guy has been a revelation.
Boogs is close to one of our "rocks" IMHO

Boogs is close to one of our "rocks" IMHO our player of the season to date IMO - I'm so happy to see him doing so well after his injury problems With Porter I don't think he has ever played in his BEST position which is CM for the Mariners. Those who watched him at Lightning in the off season will agree that he was great there......different class of opposition I know but being thrown in as an emergency RB all the time isn't confidence boosting

Most Improved / improving on previous seasons. 2) Jedi Easily the most improved. he has gone from an unknown quantity to virtually find of the season last year for the mariners and this season i pretty much cant imagine a mariners starting lineup without him Waiting for the potential to shine through. 2) Porter Agree but with Porter he is virtually heir apparent to Gumps in his role so if Gumps goes at the end of the year as many people are saying much to my disappointment, Porter will get much more game time and I think he will do quite well in that position The rocks we depend on. 1) Danny V 2) Heaf 3) Wilko (returning to field near you soon) Nothing much can be said there to disagree. Slipping a little 1) Grumps 2) Tommy ( cut my wrist for saying it) I will put all other into the squad Gumps has been awesome for us this year, i agree he might be getting on in years but he isnt past his use by date and is still well and truly at and beyond the standard for the a league. While we havent seen much from Tommy for much of the season, he again has shown why he deserves a start. Both these players I hope for at least another season out of after this one and together with Vidmar provide much of the experience of the squad.

Interesting that you think Gumps has been awesome......why? Hasn't won a single Marinators MOM?

Interesting that you think Gumps has been awesome......why? Hasn't won a single Marinators MOM? Winning MOM is a competitive thing, he may not have been the absolute best player in any games especially with the likes of Boogaard, Jedi, Hutch, Danny and Kwasnik about. He may not be the flashest player in the world but IMO but he is a hard worker and he is still well and truly up to scratch as a player and still deserves to start and we do still see glimpses of season 1 i.e. the sydney game he was good and in the PSC sydney game. There perhaps has been a drop in form in recent games so the word awesome might be an overreaction but for the first 2 or 3 games of the season he was pretty good.

Interesting that Heff is one of the rocks...for me there was a lot of hope and hype when he came back and he is being outshone by less-rated players every week.

Interesting that Heff is one of the rocks...for me there was a lot of hope and hype when he came back and he is being outshone by less-rated players every week. I still place Hemp in the rocks maybe not the big rock but certainly his wrap around cause other teams concern and his defense is good not excellent but good. Its what he offers in attack that creates play even if off the ball as other teams are watching what he is doing. Combined the most improved with the rocks and there is a lot of our team. To those who through I am having a go at Tommy & Grumps, I am not its just especially Tommy is not quite playing to the standard he has displayed before. Its interesting prior to the season starting my center mids would have been Tommy & Grumps. However Hutch and Jedi are pushing them. Who would I pick, Hutch & Jedi, or Tommy & Grumps. Very tough call. For me Tommy is still the most creative player in team with Grumps the most inspiring. I would move Jedi to to right back, he is very versatile and it is an area we need to cover because of injuries. Have Tommy in the center with Hutch with Grumpy outside. Perhaps and this is out of left field share the other center mid roll between Tommy & Grumps, 60 min Grump with Tommy on for the 30 min as the opposition tires.
