Enough of Roar match we had five first team players out.
My squad for next week, and major change is Matty to right mid, I have been saying all year he like a Emerton down that right side, can run all day and his has set up a lot of goals for us. For my mine Matty plays a wide mid field game, and is better suited there than as an all out striker.
Also Porter has a great pass into the centre of the park and has pace whick Boogs & Viddy do not have.
Goal Danny
Backs Porter (RB) Boogs (CB) Wilko (CB) Heff (LB)
Mids Matty (RM) Tommy & Jedi (CM's) Hutch (LM)
Strikers Johnny A & Sash
Bench, Viddy, Owens, Grumo, Kwas, Clarky
Agian my opinion only

Dunno about matty on the wing cause up front he can score but holds the ball up really well and compliments Aloisi's game. I would still love to see Lawrie try the 4-3-3 formation with Matty sitting behind sash and aloisi.

you cant play matty simon anywhere other than as the hardworking target man, he doesnt have the creativity or technique to play elsewhere

I would be concerned about Matty from a defensive viewpoint. - He would run all day but he is a target man not a midfielder. For that reason Owens will start.

I really hope Lawrie has a full squad to choose from (apart from Osman and Mrdja of course). It feels like all season apart from the first round or 2 that we've suffered with injuries and suspensions yet again, give us some time with a full roster to show what we can do! I am hoping for:
-----------------------Danny Clark---------Wilko--------Boogs--------Heff Owens------Jedi---------Tommy-------Hutch ----------------Aloisi-------Petrovski
Bench - Vidmar, Simon, Kwas, Porter
This will just about be our strongest team available for quite sometime so no excuses!
We've gone through a rough patch, got a few results we probably shouldn't have and now we are getting our players back. Heading into the last few games and then finals series is when you wanna start playing your best football and peak..........Friday is the best time to start!

433 with Saso sitting in behind Simon & Aloisi. Simon is a good target man with a surprisingly good 1st touch.
MF 3 of Jedi Hutcho and Owens
Back 4 of Porter, Boogs, Wilko & Heff.

4-3-3 may give us better attacking options but reality is Lawrie will play 4-4-2.

I am confident ur right, we are at our best when getting wide, something we failed to do in QLD.

Burns maybe out but his form has dipped too - Agostino has found his form and Djite is back, I don't think it will really hurt them this weekend.
The boys needed a kick up the backside to keep going, hopefully last night was it!

you cant play matty simon anywhere other than as the hardworking target man, he doesnt have the creativity or technique to play elsewhere Disagree go back and see how many times Matty had been in the scrapping part of play that won balls that lead to gaols or made the final pass. He has pace to play RM, and he can get back and put pressure on othert teams attack. Interesting if you played Tommy in the last 30 mins (as playing all game each week appears difficult for him) with Kwas as LM, Matty as RM, you would have lots of pace out wide, with Hutch & Jedi directing play from the centre. Then bring on Tommy for either Kwas or Matty, moving Hutch out wide. IMO Matty has scrapping skills, speed, and a big heart, and a good pass so for me I would love to see him at RM

Burns out is still good for us even though he's form was dropping. I think it will be a close game. Will help determine the minor preimership
