Great PR execise last night at Pluim
26 boys invited back for week three of the SYL trials. 11 of these had signed on the dotted line for the upcoming season. The other15 were of the opinion they were there to trial for the remaining 3 positions.
Imagine everyone's amazement when 7 were told, by the sole selector, to stay and contest the 3 spots and the others were sent home without kicking a ball. Great especially for the two who gave up a school camp to be there.

Doesn't surprise me! Do you actually know what club they were trialling for? The name?
I've heard it is "Central Coast Lightning"!!!!!!! Str8 from the Keech Inc think-tank that one. May as well have called it what i will now be refering them to in the future: C.C.C.P............"The Central Coast Cattle-Prod's"
Which age group was it, coach/selector?

I'm not sure what they are to be called? Getting any info out of Keech and Co is virtually impossible.
After his up front start with open letters outling the problems of Central Coast United I had high hopes of transparency.
The boys who were sent away the other night were to have the disappointment cushioned by the fact that they will be in the Federation Youth League up north. I'm sure their parents will jump at the chance to travel all over the north coast after the way they have been treated.
There has not been one piece of info distributed about the second coast team, it's all hearsay.
The age group is the Under 15's
Similar story in the 12's with the coach being questioned about the wisdom of having only one selector, especially when his kid and half his club team are trialing, he assured everyone that there was another selector. Must have been undercover.

CCSA playing in the Northern NSW Soccer Federation's "Federation Youth League"!
Is Soccer NSW aware of this? Don't think they would be to impressed, seeing that the CCSA is a member of Soccer NSW and NOT of the Northern NSW Federation.
Keech needs to be careful that Soccer NSW don't pull the licences for the winter super-league and youth/girls/women leagues as well in retaliation to this decision to play up north, as well as down south.
One foot on either side of a fence always results in a picket up one's arse.

First round of the 2007 Super Youth League comp saw Lightning win 3 out of 5 fixtures against Fraser Park last weekend. Lost in the 13s and 15s and won in the 14s, 16s and 18s. (can't remember the scores but you can always look them up on the Soccer NSW website, or Johnny Warren will oblige!)
Fraser Park were a shadow of their former selves, or maybe our boys are just getting better. I like to believe the latter.
Lightning are away to Granville this weekend.

hey all, well haven't had computer for the last month but yesterday we played against northern tigers at melita stadium.
we won the 13s 1-0. drew 14s, lost 15s and won the rest. we are currently drawn equal first on club champs with bonnyrigg white eagles and play against nowra/southern nsw this coming weekend at pluim park.
in the thirteens we jumped up to third on the table. the 14s are mid table, the 15s haven't got a point yet, the 16s and 18s are on top.
so we are going well. early days but im sure our 13s will do well this year.
