I heard a rumor yesterday that the Central Coast and Rockdale had been cut from next years premier League as the NSWSF wants to have a 12 team competition
Can this be confirmed Kev? or anyone else

There is another rumour that the whole of the CCSA is joining the NNSWSF and that a combined Coast team will play in the NBN League

There is another rumour that the whole of the CCSA is joining the NNSWSF and that a combined Coast team will play in the NBN League Well the proposed new NSW league is purported to have 12 teams, starting in Jan 06, however the culling could be a fair bit more radical than that if rumours are to believed (I rarely do). Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Illawarra teams all putting heads up at whispers of a revival of Tom Doumanis's "East Coast League" As for CCSA joining NNSWSF - are they nuts? BTW I thought Lake Macquarie wanted to come the other way? They need to be looking south at the Illawarra Football Association (part of NSW) for a better model. I'd reckon we need a top level club sitting under the Mariners, but with the Coasties/Mingara/United debacle that may be years away. CCUFC if it can stay in existence should accept relegation in a combined Winter Super team - would be the best way to go for now.

Hey Frog, Was at meeting held at Pluim for CCUFC Members, Parents on Wed nite. Chaired by Micheal Keech from CCSA:
- $140,000 in debt, could be higher as a lot of Financial's went 'missing'. - Soccer NSW still owed $12,500 - Youth Boys/Girls &1st grade Women will play out the rest of this season (4-6 weeks remaing, semis etc) - After that, SocNSW is failing to recognize CCUFC along w/ all other "Premier League" Clubs and all will have to re-apply for a license in the new proposed '12 Team competition' starting next year. -Rumours of 2 Qld teams still persist. - Criteria to obtain a 'License' is due out on the 29th of July,2005.(I think applications for license due sometime in Oct)
This doesn't leave a lot of room to form a new "Entity", as Mr Keech so lovingly called it, as would need to be created to apply for a license. (Associations can't apply, but still to be confirmed in criteria)
This leaves CCUFC in the Intensive Care Unit, loking for a major-major financial backer to save it from the Crematorium known as "Liquidation", which looks the likely scenario.
Interesting to note, that if members wish to start a new entity themselves the CCSA's entity would compete against it for the license, even if it was just a Youth Rep Club or Womens.
Have a bit more info, but gotta go, will post it L8r tonite.
