He doesn't need me telling him to give people stick. He does that all by himself

and the mighty ourimbah-uni getting up 2-0 over lensmen's east gosford
seeing the 6ft 3' grant smith, a former ourimbah player, getting chipped twice in goals was priceless
and with playing doylo in the quarters it is semis time and a probable showdown with arch rivals wyoming

(scudetto's) Central Coast Cup Review
Six Central Coast Cup matches were played out in perfect football conditions on Wednesday night across the fields of the home of Central Coast Football, Pluim Park.
Four first round matches in the Men’s Cup, plus the all-important playoff between last Friday’s victors East Gosford and Ourimbah-University, shaped the quarterfinals of the pre-season knockout competition. The next phase will be played next Wednesday at the same venue.
The women’s tournament got underway with favourites Central Coast Lightning defeating two-time champions Kincumber, in a match that may have eliminated Lightning’s biggest threat.
Kincumber was brave in defeat and held out their more fancied opponents until midway through the second half when the floodgates finally opened. Kincumber had wasted some of the better chances until the Lightning’s shape, width, fitness and class proved too much and the match ended 3-0.
In the men’s draw, Toukley got past Killarney District 3-0, The Entrance defeated Gosford 2-0, and Terrigal notched a 2-1 victory over Budgewoi.
Woy Woy overcame a 1st minute deficit against Mountains, who fielded an All Age 2 side playing up in Premier League, to eventually win 4-2.
Ourimbah booked its spot in the next round with some sublime finishing in a 3-0 triumph, with East Gosford left rueing some missed chances in a game that was closer than the score-line suggested.
Ourimbah-Uni, who have racked up six goals in two Cup games, now face Doyalson Wyee in the quarterfinals. Woy Woy will meet Terrigal, strong winners Toukley and The Entrance will play off, and Wyoming will play Southern Ettalong to round out the draw.
In the Women’s Cup, Wyong and Gosford will meet on Wednesday to decide Lightning’s next challenger while Doyalson and Ourimbah will try to book a date with The Entrance, who start with a bye, in the semi-finals.

Well wyoming went down tonight 4-3 to southern ettalong in extra time. Im not 1 to blame a ref for a loss but this is the closest ive come to doing so. Wyoming were up 3-1 mid way through the 2nd half when SE handballed in the box which should have been a red card and penalty. The linesman called it but was waved to put his flag down by the ref. After the stick he copped after that decision nothing went wyomings way, not one call for the next 30min of normal time and 2min of extra time. The man in the middle spoiled the game. It was a joke.

saw some of that game and didn't see that incident, but did see keilan get shoved from behind in the box too, another penalty for wyoming.
doylo and ourimbah finally finished at 11:50pm something like 5-4 on penalties to doylo.

Central Coast Cup Hots Up
The semi-finals of the Central Coast Cup have taken shape after the latest round of matches were held at Pluim Park on Wednesday night.
Some fiery, hard-fought encounters decided the final four teams in both the men’s and women’s draws of the pre-season knockout tournament.
In the men’s competition, Toukley came from behind to eventually triumph 2-1 over The Entrance after a goalless first half. At times the players didn’t see eye-to-eye in a physical match that could have gone either way.
Toukley will face Terrigal in the semis after they overcame Woy Woy in a penalty shootout. The match started out as a cagey affair and remained 0-0 through ninety minutes and extra time before Terrigal kept the cooler heads to win 3-2 on penalties.
Southern Ettalong staged an incredible comeback victory over Wyoming, winning 4-3 after trailing at one stage by a 3-1 score-line. The seven-goal thriller was perhaps a little unlucky for Wyoming who had a couple of good penalty shouts turned down by the referee.
Southern await Doyalson in the semis, after their match with Ourimbah proved to be yet another tight clash on the night. After each side found the net once, neither team would give an inch and after a scoreless extra time period, the match eventually met its destiny on the penalty spot. An incredible shootout saw each keeper save three shots before Doyalson’s players held their nerve to wrap it up 4-3.
The women’s matches lacked the closeness of the men’s but not the excitement, with 19 goals scored in two games.
Gosford was too strong for Wyong, winning 7-0, and Ourimbah saw off Doyalson with a 12-0 victory. Gosford go through to face the competition favourites, Central Coast Lightning, while Ourimbah will meet The Entrance.
All semi-finals will be played at Pluim Park next Wednesday 29th of March, with matches kicking off at 6:30pm.

Was the man in the middle fred glin??? You know him dont you pollock, the fat bloke with glasses who never leaves the centre circle. Actually, sounds like my old indoor ref from thursdays with fish. What a tosser. I wonder if Fred Glynn reads these posts? Would he appreciate being called a 'fat bloke with glasses...?' Being passionate about football yourself, Bearman, I'm sure you'd recognise a man who is equally passionate about the game, who has given many weekends over many years to the sport, who has inspired and coached many less-senior referees and has always turned the other cheek when (frequently) abused and has done so with a cheeky smile. Like many other referees I know, he always extends respect to the players, while not always receiving respect in return. Because of his love for the game, he may have hung up his whistle for this season, perhaps recognising that he is no longer able to give physically what is needed. I don't want this thread to deteriorate into ref-knocking, nor an extended discussion on this ref in particular. Reasonable criticism will, I am sure, be tolerated, as well as praise, but personal abuse must surely not be used to attack valuable members of the football community.
