Match report from Central Coast Cup 24/3/06
The Entrance 1-2 Mighty Toukley Gunners
After watching this game last night, I think that Gumps has going a tough job on his hands trying to turn some very ordrinary players into a premiership winning team. After every single foul that went against them, even the most blatant, The Entrance potested and cried like girls over the decision. There was lots of shirt pulling from The Entrance as they didn't seem able to contain Toukley's players within the rules. I have lost count of the amount of times that The Entrance appealed for handball even though it was obvious that it wasn't. Their goalie was rubbish. He kept coming for crosses and was left exposed every time. He didn't seem to have a lot of skill and should have been given a yellow card for some of his challenges from corner kicks. If Gumps has got the team playing in this way, then they are going to struggle against most teams this year. He needs to focus on changing tactics and getting them to move the ball around rather than pumping it forward to the strikers every time. Gumps must make sure that he gets rid of the deadwood at the club and pull some ego's into line

Looks like they are going to struggle this season did they lose some quality players or has the standard just dropped ?. I heard a lot of younger players went there this year for two reasons 1. Gumps 2. They were last year Premiers and that encouraged some younger players to migrate from other clubs Any comments ?.

by the sounds of it, i think Gumps should go to a more dedicated and professional team like the ...... let me see..... Ourimbah over 35's C- not only would he have our "gentlemanly" support on the field, but our "medicine" cabinet is always full, cold & ready to go at the end of each game and training session...
