This demo day on Oct 28 seems to be going ahead...
And they're also not playing by the official FIFA beach soccer laws, it seems

Spoke to my contact and as they want to see what response they get and the field allocation they are modifying the rules to try and get more people on the becah playing, which being "well not as young as I used to be" a great idea because I need exercise. If it's modified great and if it's fun even better.

Tried to get info today about the launch but no one knows what is happening. It appears that the person who was doing it is out or something like that as I can't get answers. Anyone else knows what happened. I want to play. "What hidden secrets lie beneath the floors" ahhh too many horror stories.

"Out of the office" is a well used CCF euphamism. Last person who was out of the office was the regional coaching director. He has been out for 8 months now.
I hear there has been a purge of staff at CCF Office, could be the problem.
Could mean the return of a previous regular poster.

I spoke to someone on wamberal beach who said the SLC was going to assist on the Saturday but rumours are that the guy organising it has gone (not sure if he left but based on your comments may have been shown the shove) because they were told to contact someone else who is away on hols till next week. I'll ring the radio station and ask them. This is a big mystery because the station is pushing it. What is going on - anyone know the facts

Seems I can't blame the GM for this latest debacle, that will make Ice happy.
i heard the board has made keech's 2 most loyal staff redundant. looks like beach soccer may not have anyone running it and the reps have lost their coordinator.

The relevant info to print up if your interested www.merrillie.net/mariners/Letter.pdfwww.merrillie.net/mariners/Registration.pdfMelinda hope this helps. Please find attached registration forms for forming a team to participate in Beach Football as well as an important covering letter that needs to be read. Although we are scheduling competitions to commence November 2 & 3 for 7 weeks, this means that you will only play on the same day each week not 2 days per week. Due to limitations of space on Wamberal Beach and days allocated we are having to restrict competitions to youth (13-16), Men's, women's and mixed. It may be that due to numbers we could have 2 competitions for eg. Mixed but one is on a Wednesday and the other is Thursday but again you would only play on that same day each week. The other important note is that registrations as they are limited must be accompanied by full payment and will be limited to the first 8 teams per competition received and soccer NSW sanctioning Beach Football which should be forthcoming. If for any reason soccer NSW does not agree to beach football your money in full will be returned immediately. Was this not enough information? ?

Heard the guy who organised BF along with Amber are gone. No one in the office will say much .. so you know what "no comment" means. The rep program !!!!! and now events person who I heard arranged the charity match etc. What next? If u r right that the Board is taking back, what does that mean?

It appears that a show is on at the beach on Sat but did you read the telegraph about the changes at CCF, now the GM is back in his role but someone name murray is also looking after it and amber is no more but what about the contact you had on beach football that gave you the info you put online for us all, no mention but ring the office and see what happens , nothing. Is AO going to coach again the Lightning team based on the article or am I reading too much and not drinking enough

It was on today for young and old and windy . The radio station was great and made the most of the wind but CCF not sure they were ready, no one tried to register me and I had a team ready as we wanted to look at this and another summer 5 aside. there was no rego table, I then get told it's $5 / person for playing it for fun over the next few weeks and I get 2 free drinks which sounds ok but tells me that I think for this comp we'll go to the other summmer comp, better for our legs.

Alas no more beach soccer posted this morning on CCF website.
Does anybody know why CCF doesn't host a big six a side comp. one or two nights per week during the off season. ? I'm sure the money raised could be put to good use.
Beach Football- Last Week 22/11/2006 Beach Football despite its promising start has had a significant drop off in numbers in the last three weeks.
The current format will be reviewed and will take a hiatus until 2007!
The games will go ahead tonight and tomorrow night Wednesday and Thursday November 22 and 23.
To those that participated, CCF thank you and hope you enjoyed it, any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated.
Any suggestions to be emailed to reception@ccfootball.com.au

I heard that no one at CCF wants to take the time to make it a success and there was talk months ago about 6 aside as well. I'll be going to play at Mingara with 10 mates, at least we'll have fun drinking afterwards Alas no more beach soccer posted this morning on CCF website. well done CCF.
They tried to organise it too quick - you can't do it in the space of a month, it should've been planned, advertised and organised all season.
Now I fear the lack of organisation may have tarnished the concept...

it was organized for months because i saw stuff in the paper for it before the semi finals and the radio station ran ads too. but the organizer was not available when i rang in late october and I saw in another thread that him and another person had been made redundant right before the competition started. not a good start to have no one running it.

I saw the same adds and agree I heard people were put off just before the start so noe one that could run it was there. It got great plugs on the radio and they even had a listeners team arranged. Plenty of time to have it run well.
