Hyundai A-League pacesetters and recently crowned OFC Club Champions Sydney FC have received an additional boost with confirmation that Sydney City Hyundai has joined forces with the club through a three-year sponsorship deal.
Sydney City Hyundai will support Sydney FC as the club strives to lift the bar as football moves into an exciting new era.
“We are pleased to be partners with Sydney FC and look forward to working together with the club as it competes in the new Hyundai A-League,” said Rob McKeon, Operations Director, Sydney City Hyundai.
“All of us at Sydney City Hyundai, believe, as many do, that soccer (football) in Australia is heading in a very positive direction. The opportunity to align ourselves with Sydney FC seemed a natural fit.”
“The opportunity to assist Sydney FC in achieving its goals is very attractive to us and, in addition, we are keen to provide Sydney FC members and fans with motoring rewards and service levels not previously available through membership of a football club.” Mr. McKeon continued.
“The willingness and support of Sydney City Hyundai has already been fabulous. Sydney FC is looking forward to working with Sydney City Hyundai, to promote football to Sydney and service to its people,” said Sydney FC CEO Andy Harper.
“On the back of Hyundai’s naming rights to the new A-League competition, Sydney City Hyundai have followed suit with an openness and eagerness to work towards mutual success. We are delighted to have Sydney City Hyundai involved with us,” continued Harper.
To me this just doesn't sit right, i know it's a dealership supporting a team and not the whole company sponsoring both the league and the club.
