Well surely the idiot is gone now.
Who's next to lead Australia to a World Cup Playoff Loss?

They said his job is safe at the moment.....I would keep him there
The back page show on Fox summed it up the other night...."Australians expect too much from the socceroos!"

I don't think we expect too much, it's not too much to expect a squad that has talent there to qualify for the World Cup, and we've always done well in the Confeds Cup, it's definatley not too much to expect them to beat Tunisia & since when did Fitzy know anything about football?
If he'd play the right formation and make some good selections, there is no point playing a 2nd XI when we scream for quality matches to test our top XI and we're not going to play our next game as a team for months! His job is safe, interesting that Friend said he had some good results but in the FFA the idea is that if you don't get the result now, the result wasn't good and you didn't do well. Scoring 3 goals is fantastic, if you don't conceede four!

If anyone expected them to beat Argentina or Germany then your in dreamland (Germany maybe at a push). Tunisia was a very bad display and should have been worse than 2-0, I personally would have predicted a 1-1 draw but the aussie's seemed to want that wooden spoon real bad!
Farina is sticking with too many old favourites like Muscat and needs a change somewhere.
Not too sure about them being good enough to qualify for the world cup based on recent attempts like losing to Iran and Uruguay and beating teams like the Soloman Islands in qualification, but I put a lot of that down to the Socceroos not facing enough top class opposition previously. Playing crap teams in qualification and a few mickey mouse friendlies then trying to beat a South American team to me is stupid!

Hey Terry 2-2!
It wasn't enough screwing over Australia, he had to take his shit to Leeds too. Part of me wishes that Uknighted got him, they'd be sure wooden spooners.

The team for the last game was hard to comprehend.Resting Schwarzer why?I know he had conceded 8 but he was a stand out. We needed a result there and he uses it as a training session.I agree its to late now to change but he needs to coach at a high level and get the professional mentality in him that you must do everything to win not be happy to be competitive.I dont think we expect to much either omni all of those players have european experience so there are no excuses for this result we were just very average.

I don't think it is just the players he picked...although that is part of it...I certainly would have liked to see players like Kisnorbo used...
Moore, Popovic, Vidmar, Muscat, Millicevic, McKain and Neill - these guys on paper should not be conceding that many goals, even to quality opposition.
They just seemed to be forever under pressure - and most of the 'real' defensive blunders were midfielders like Skoko and Emerton not staying with their man.
I just think we need someone who knows the tactical drilll a bit better...
