I am leaning towards MVFC having the best looking team on Paper at this stage

Any team is a chance in this league. I agree. But what happened to "Sydney then daylight"

1. Sydney 2. Newcastle
But the most exciting to watch...The Mariners. With Gumprecht and Pondeljak in the midfield they will be a very pleasing to the eye. Don't think they quite have the balance in the team to win the league though.

Never said Sydney than daylight, but Sydney have definatley set themself up as the team to beat in this tournament.
Perthblooo, I dunno I thought Queensland were pretty damn exciting, but do you think we're a contendor for the title/finalists.
Never have 8 words bought such unity on such a touchy matter.

Queensland have some exciting players to watch, particularly for me Murdocca (who was very impressive with S Melbourne). But I think the likes of Richter, Baird and co can be shackled by a well organised opposition. Whereas I've never seen an opposition at this level than can do that to either Pondeljak or Gumprect...the most we can hope to do when Perth play them is to mark your strikers out of the game so that their good work comes to nothing. Speaking of Mrdja, I think we can stop him with our current defence, not sure about your other strikers.
I can see the Mariners scrapping it out with Perth and Melbourne for the final two finals places.

You'd hope if anyone could stop Mrdja it'd be Perth. You forgot Sully
Shame about Baird's injury.

The bookies dont normally get it wrong, and the beleive the same as me.
The top 3 hard to split and favorites.
Marines middle of the road, average.
A-League winner 2.25 Sydney 4.50 Melbourne 5.50 Newcastle 7.00 Perth 10.00 Central Coast 11.00 Adelaide 17.00 Queensland 26.00 New Zealand

Sydney are streets ahead of the rest, which you disagreed with. Some things you have said were right, some were wrong, but all were extremely biased towards Melbourne, and that is why no one will respect anything you say.

On paper Melbourne is the best side in the league: Then you happily post the odds which totally contradict what you said. Sydney are twice as likely to win as Melbourne (according to the odds you posted) I'd consider that as 'daylight' between them and you.
