*groans* SOOOOOFFFFT!!!!! I've been saying this since before the Asian Cup, and it's not popular in certain circle, but Schwarzer is so far past it it's not funny - he's been living on the memory of November 2005 for about a year too long now, it's time to stick to club duties pal, blood someone who isn't quite so shit. Danny. Brad Jones. F*ck, I'd take Covic over him........ It's very hard to blame him in any way for the goal. If you leave a central defender alone on the six yard box, you're going to pay the price. Not a lot Schwarzer could've done there IMO. It's getting frustrating to see all these set piece chances, while Mrdja sits on the bench.

They showed the angle from behind and there was no one within metres of Demichels (sp)

Schwarzer was off his line by a good couple of yards....... he looked utterly clueless.
You can't sit there and say that Schwarzer is the keeper to take us to 2010, honestly??

No, he won't be the keeper to take us to South Africa IMO. However, I fail to see how you could possibly blame him over the goal.

Watch the replay - he was 6 yards off his line, and was ready for the kick maybe a second before the ref. blew the whistle for the kick....... I thought we'd all be used to Schwarzer conceding soft goals by now. Doesn't mean I can't still get annoyed about it.

He was no more than 1 foot off his line when it was headed. Attendance is just over 70,000.

Pft, one eyed Chelsea fans. Seriously though, every game that Schwarzer continues to play is a waste for someone like Danny/Brad Jones who could be using games like this to hone their skills and international experience and the rest of it in preparation for next February and beyond......

Here you go Serious, Schwarzer seems to have taken a knock. Unfortunately, the only other goalkeeper in the squad is Faulty Bolty.

Hahahaha, I don't like him, but I'm not a c*nt - I don't wish injury on players...... except a select few. Namely players 1 - 23 of the Jets.

agree somewhat re: schwarzer i dont like his keeping from corners, set pieces and balls in the air, he is a brilliant shot stopper though! but who can take the mantle? danny isnt ready, his kicking needs work and comes too far off his line sometimes, brad jones hasnt done well on his call up so right now schwarzer is our best keeper... shame bosnich turned to crack cos he was one of the best keepers in world football!
as for the game, losing 1-0 to the argies is a great result, yes we lost but sometimes you have to admit the better team won, we huffed and we puffed but we never looked like blowing the house down - except for marcos free kick of course!

Kennedy was on fire.
Now HE is the kind of guy I want to see there in 2010. Best on park for us.

agreed Kennedy was good, but his first touch needs sharpening a lot of the time his first touch led him to chasing the ball for his second touch i guess we have been lucky as we have had the world class first touch of Viduka

How good are the Mariners! Starting centre back, substitute striker, reserve left back and commentating defender!
