What? A joke that he is telling the truth, that the only people diving or simulating in our league are the imports, or a joke that its coming from him?

Agree. But it is a bit rich coming from him. No it's not. He is talking about getting rid of the people that dive, not dirty thugs!

whereas, if you're hit by Muscat you know you're down!
What right has this idiot to speak about player misconduct...his career is littered with examples of bad behaviour.

I agree with what he's saying 100%. If they can be cited on video evidence for a bad tackle then why not for diving? I would say Musc**t is a player that has put enough people on their arse to know when he has really hit someone or they are taking a dive. This is one thing (IMO) holding the sport back in Australia, it is seen as piss weak when girly-man players fall on the ground after being breathed on. Stop the rot!

He is not saying "stop stomping on people's heads", which im sure he has done once or twice, he is saying "stop being a girly boy and pretending to be injured, when the whole world knows your not". Now that I think about it, he is the perfect person to be coming out and saying such a thing.

I see Muscat's quotes as self serving. He's likely to get carded more if players simulate/cheat/dive, so he wants them to stop it so he doesn't have as many suspensions in a a season. Funny, the worse case I've seen this season is Tiatto's 'shoulder injury' from a Petrovski challenge. Held up the game, went to the sideline - looked like he had taken such a bad knock that his shoulder was bloody well dislocated, then trots back onto the field a few minutes later rotating his shoulder freely and showing no discomfort at all. Replays showed that Petrovski barely touched him. And that, from one of the supposed tough men of the HAL! Is there a case for video citing - YES, but is that OK with FIFA?

What? A joke that he is telling the truth, that the only people diving or simulating in our league are the imports, or a joke that its coming from him? joke coming from him Its classic. If he came out and said "all these imports are thugs that ruin the game with dirty cheap shots on people", then yeah, it would be pathetic. But what he is saying is absolutly spot on. If he can get busted for stomping someone, why shouldnt people who fake injury get busted to? Pre season. Soggy Seo from QLD went down like a sack of shit. Mrdja gave him a little "love tap" with his foot, then suddenly Seo was not injured anymore, he was headbutting people. Fair?

Sorry, didnt see you edit till it was to late. Yes, thats cheating. Was that cheating or Karma coming to get the Grape? Interesting one - if he was fouled, then going down, even if overacted, was not cheating. If the contact was within the laws of the game then it maybe was.

What everyone has ignored so far, is the fact that Muscat has only labelled foreign players as cheats. What does he mean by this? Why is it that a foreign player who dives is worse than an Australian? And he also seems to be saying that this nasty foreign invasion will corrupt our white-as-milk players. It sounds distinctly racist to me...has he forgotten that he too was a foreign player once. Oh, sorry, he was a white player in a white football league...that doesn't count does it?
