Arsenal should be embarrased lifting that trophy, they were shit, United were all over them!
How can you decide a cup final on penalties? I know there has to be a winner but anyone can win a penalty shootout! I reckon each side should take a player off every 10 mins until they get down to seven a side.

Not a bad idea DJ, but that would end up with another 40 mins of footy! Great for the fans but at that level I don't know whether the human body could endure it! Agree that Utd absolutely played them off the park, but if you don't score.....

I have had the most ridiculous luck with the teams I love this weekend... Love Arsenal cos some of my great uncles played for them - the support has come through the family. So, Gunners in a truly horrid display of trying to be Chelsea (Arsenal with 1 man up front...huh?) get lucky and lift the FA Cup on penalties. Then next night, the team I REALLY love have the title handed to them when Celtic throw away 2 goals in 2 minutes...Rangers win 1-0 in another unconvincing display and take the title... Funny ol game...but I love it right now!!

It's messing around with it a bit, but I think 10 mins of normal extra each way first, then golden goal with a player off every 5 minutes. I agree the game got worse as it went on with the exception of a few close calls and Arsenal were looking forward to the shootout. It was a big anticlimax.

well there's always next year...! I didn't find it an anti climax, but would much rather have settled it in open play sure.
