Lampard pen after owen was brought down. Becks harshly sent off for 2 yellow cards in 2 mins on the same player.
England played pretty average by all accounts (care factor - 0!!)
Match with Poland this week will determine who finishes 1st/2nd

Frank is good to watch, isnt he? I reckon his goal against I think Bayern last year where he controlled it over his head and hit a half volley left footed as he turned was up there with Zizou's left foot volley technique wise.

Fat Frank didn't do much bar the penalty and a couple of set plays once Beckham went off. We played sh@te but got away with it, which is a good sign of the teams resolve. Good result for the Socceroos as well but the South Americans will be much harder to beat over 2 games - but fingers crossed...

WERE GOING TO GERMANY , WERE GOING TO GERMANY TR-LA-LA-LA!!!!!! Hope you Aussies can join us!! England should always be in the world cup finals, if a manager doesn't make it they get sacked! So I don't see too much point in celebrating as it was expected! Wouldn't be good if Australia made it and had England in their group, nice easy 3 points for the poms!

True it was expected, but that doesnt always guarantee that we make it does it (remember '94 - or ask the dutch!) I will celebrate that we are there, given we have had 3 shit performances on the spin! Not like im celebrating a 'friendly' result from a few years ago is it heheheheheh!!! Check the tabloids out! We have just qualified, lost 1 game thus far (?) and Sven is under more pressure than Farina was probably under for his entire spell. He is very nearly out the door. Has just come out and publically said he wont let press get to him. We know what the usually means. He will be gone sooner rather than later if we dont put in a performance against 'bogey team' Poland. Curbs/ McClaren/ Big Sam could be leading us out in Krautsville. Not fully expecting it but it wouldnt surprise me either............

Frank Farina for England manager. The closest FF will come to the England job is cleaning Michael Owens boots!

Big Sam is good at wheeling and dealing the transfer market and telling the players how to kick it as far as they can up the middle of the park. That might suit England, but Curbs would be my pick if I wanted to see you do well.

Fat Sam should keep his long ball game to his northern slum!
To be fair to Sven he has got us there and should get the chance to see the job through the finals. If he does go Curbs could be the go, but he has struggled with Charlton's higher expectations the past couple of years - like Harry did in his last season at WHU. Sir Trev would get my vote.

4 years ago England loved Sven! Let him see his job through and if he fails it may be time for new blood! Curbs is a good manager but has he proved himself in Europe against the best? No. It may not matter but it certainly is a huge step up!
Sir Trev - roflmao
To be honest with the way the English press treat every England Manager why would you want the job?

Sir Trev would get my vote. Whats he gonna do Sacko? BORE the opposition to submission? heheheheheheh Manys the time that Trev has sent me to sleep with his commentary on a sunday afternzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I agree, Sven should be there and after reports from the press this morning he probably will be (unless he starts boffin' ulrika again!!!). Great display against the poles apparently. Curbs would get my vote if it came down to a successor but i honestly think it would be McClaren. What with his involvement with the national team already he has friends in the right places......
