Anyone see the England game??
Owen is a freak, played the whole game but it felt like his first 2 touches were goals.
I thought Becks was on fire again...but I alsways do even when others bag him.
Bur MOM was Rooney, he is just awesome, unlucky not to have got a hat-trick.
The thing I noticed the most was how unco Crouch is. He is all over the place, falling over in a big heap, taking out even his own players. If you watch the 2nd Owen goal, you'll see him being pushed out of the way by Crouch. Argentina didnt need to defend when Crouch was on the field!!
I cant believe Liverpool wasted 7 million pounds on him.

I didn't see it, but upon reading the match summary wish I did!
7 million pounds for that lanky bag of bones is pathetic, more money than sense!

He's a perfect example of the player who should have stayed where he was...he's completely out of his element in the Liverpool frontline and is, frankly, becoming a laughing stock. His mistakes are laughable and he couldn't 'score in a brothel' My family watches him just for laughs....Maybe Southampton will have him back

My family watches him just for laughs.... Its good to see Im not the only one. As a Liverpool supporter, I cringe everytime I see Crouch fall over and then see Owen score. What was Benitez thinking?? No offence to OGrady, but when he went on the field in the pre-season cup as a striker, we likened him to Crouch. Stay in the backs OGrady

The fact that he hasnt scored in 17 is all i need not to be a fan at the moment, although apparently our play away from home has improved with his ability to hold up the ball and last i heard he was Anfield supporters player of the season thus far(probably speaks volumes!!) blah blah blah blah. As far as im concerned hes a striker. Put the ball in the damn net then. Ive never been a huge Owen fan but shit i wish he was in the red now. Ironically he is EXACTLY what LFC are missing right now. Both parties must be wishing things had turned out better, eh GB?

what a game, i'm getting that funny feeling again, that maybe, just maybe England will win the World Cup. Unbelievable spirit - Rooney is so dangerous, the Argies were scared of him. As for Crouch, England did play better when he came on as the Argies weren't sure how to handle him and paid less attention to Owen.
As for Liverpool, they must regret not getting Owen back, he is such a freakish striker - crouch just can't put em away

Owen will become a Tynside legend. History will look back at him as having a brief stint at Anfield compared to the goal scoring flood that was his illustrious Magpie's career. I think it's playing infront of real fans, as apposed to the cardboard kop, that's getting him into some great form. I watched a Liverpool match the other day. Dead silence. I watched a toon match. I couldn't hear the commentator. The other difference was we scored.

For all those people who are bagging out Crouch, then you only have to look at the record od Diego Forlan at Man Utd. It took him 21 games to score and then he continued on and became top scorer in the spanish league. Crouch was a legend at Southampton. It will take time at Liverpool. Just watch those who were bagging him one week, suddenly turn around and start praising him.

Southampton need Crouch back... what, to stand around looking goofy and hoof footballs into the north atlantic? i don't think they'd have him back, much as i'd like to see his comedy on turf away from anfield...

Crouch missed for us from the spot on saturday (at lest Bolo was there to back him up). I'm almost sure we'd hand him back for a million or so......

There is no way 'he will be gone' if he doesnt score this week LOL!! Had a great game this weekend and his contribution to the 4match winning run (10F 0A) has been sizable. They will come . Last time we had a striker misfiring for this long he did alright for us. Someone called Ian Rush.
