Just wanting to rub it into all those sad gooner fans who still think that they support a team capable of winning the premier league. It seems that Arsene Wenger could start a fight in an empty room after annoying Jose Mourinho by not sending a christmas card. They also only just scraped through to the League cup semi finals where they were outplayed by the mighty Doncaster Rovers (who are on the march to the premier league!!) Henry is going to Barcelona.....to be continued
Anyone else have the same opinion about Arsenal?

Yea It would have been great to see Arsenal lose to Doncaster. But I would be surprised if they manage to get a Champions League Spot.

it seems a long time ago that they were brilliant and pretty much untouchable, except in Europe of course, it is hard to compete against all that cash though, but i suppose everyone else has had to for ages, if they lost Henry their could be a meltdown

Still a decent team, and will still be in the mix for a CL place right to the end. For all the good, young midfielders they have in their squad you just cant account for losing someone like Viera. Both for his ability and the influence he had on the team. Even his loss would be overshadowed if Henry left. I feel we will see just how much he loves Arsenal very soon.

Losing Viera was massive for them, Arsenal need another centreback and creative striker to sit behind Henry!
Problem is they have invested so heavily in their new stadium which will be ready next year I think?

You have been very quiet recently Red - I expected you to be gloating with Liverpools success?

Yea there biggest loss was defiently Viera, Without him you can clearly see a big problem in their Midfield like Manchester United have with Keane getting too old and now gone.

Is it just me .. or is Arse just not playing as a team anymore? Arsene doesn't seem happy with any one combination

Not playing like a team anymore (or looking like it) would probably again be due to the loss of Viera. Losing your captain who controlled the middle of the field and defence is massive.
Top 6 this year for me, definite european qualification but not sure on top 4. Next year however I would not be surprised to see Henry gone and some serious investment made on some new blood. Of course they will keep Henry if they can but if they fail to make Champs League he will go to Barca or Real!

It seems neither Sir Alex or Arsene know how to deal with being right off the pace in the league; rather than the solid consistency of recent seasons they seem to chop and change the line up almost every week.
Look at Chelsea, the same players IN THE IMPORTANT POSITIONS almost every match. Predictable, yet consistent. When they went unbeaten, Arsenal seemed to use Vieira, Gilberto Silva, Pires, Ljungberg, Henry, Bergkamp every match. Now it's Reyes, Van Persie, Flamini, Fabregas, Hleb, in and out of the side with the aforementioned in a constant rotation. Not to mention a defense upset by injuries.
It's the same at Scum Utd, it used to be Beckham every week on the right, Giggs every week on the left, and Keane with a partner in the guts. Now it's Cronaldo, Rooney, Park JS, Fletcher, Richardson, all taking turns in wide positions and swapping over every 5 minutes.
Instead of over-reacting they should have stuck to their guns. Being Man U or Arsenal is easy...you have better players than everyone else, so if you are consistent, the rest will, over the course of the season, take care of itself. In saying that, the losses and aging of the likes of Pires, Bergkamp, Vieira, Keane, Giggs, et al haven't helped those sides in the last 2-3 years.

Good news for all you Gooners out there..... Henry has publically put an end to the rumours and has said he will stay (what price i wonder?!?!?). Good for the prem but bad for Barca.

Lots I would say! With the new stadium only 8 months away their capacity will increase as well as revenue too so I wouldn't be too worried! But just because the player says one thing doesn't mean he won't change his mind if they fail to make top 4 or win the Champions League. We've seen it so many times when players say 1 thing then do the oppisite. E.g. Alan Smith, I will never leave Leeds .... lol

Fat lot of good it did for Wenger...... the Arse just lost to a 119th minute away goal. Methinks the F.A. is crying right now, I don't think that they can see 73 000 filling Cardiff for a game involving Wigan.

Take Wycombe in the FA Cup 5 years ago when we reached the semi final. Our average attendance would have been around 6k maybe? Yet we took over 20k to the game against Liverpool! My point is Wigan don't take part in many finals so all their fans will want to be around for this 1!

Good point - although the odds of a sell out (or close enough) would be somewhat higher when the Mighty Man. U. make it through.
