I was referring to league positioning from that comment, but the fact that West Ham made the FA Cup final from a very hard draw is a great achievement! So to answer your question no, coz you ain't won f*** all! I personally hope West Ham win being a Londener but I can see Liverpool winning 2 or 3 nil (sorry Bear), fingers crossed I'm wrong. |

Hammers VS Tottenham
This game had everything. Carl Fletcher scores his 1st goal for West Ham on 9mins, a cracker from outside the 18 yard box, ex hammer Jermain Defoe equalizes on 34mins with a great cross goal shot, a foul on Bobby Zamora in the box leads to a penalty, taken by Teddy Sheringham and well saved and held by Paul Robinson, and a stunning goal by Israeli international Yossi Benayoun in the 79th min which was well held up 12 yards out before a drilled shot to the top right of Robinsons goal.
Poor Tottenham needed the win to qualify for champions league after Arsenal beat Wigan 4-2, and with both teams without key players thru injury and suspension, Tottenham just couldnt get that equalizer.
West Ham should have won by about 10 goals, with 3 great chances within the 1st 10min.
The electricity in this game was amazing. The second half was like watching the Mariners VS Sydney final. Non stop 100km/h football.
Anyone watching this would say that Liverpool dont stand a chance come next Saturdays nights FA Cup final.

Tottenham had about 7 or 8 players with food poisoning too, there was doubt the game would even go ahead. Spurs would have been fined and probably points deducted if they didn't play anyway!

Bollocks, I reckon they knew that there would be a massive uproar if they lost, so they just said half the team was ill so that there was some excuse for if and when they lost.

hey, they got there, thats hard enough, and no one was ever gonna stop gerrards crackers (coz both were good - especially second one). West Ham have been pretty good this season, its dads team, and hes content.

West Ham done a great job last night, at the start of the season not many people would have thought that West Ham would have finished 9th and that they would lose the FA Cup final in Penaltys. I think they deserved to win last night and i think west ham shouldnt look at that game as a loss but they should look at it as a draw.
