Another Achilles operation necessary
Joshua Kennedy´s injury nightmare continues. After rupturing his Achilles tendon the Nuremberg player again has to undergo treatment.
"Club striker Joshua Kennedy again has to undergo treatment on his Achilles. This time the 24-year old will have a cyst removed.
Last summer the Australian international had ruptured his right Achilles tendon in training without involvement of another player.
Operation next week
Kennedy, who joined Nuremberg from Dynamo Dresden, had started training with the Franconians late on July 13th, 2006 because of his country´s participation in last year´s World Cup.
Kennedy will now have to undergo an operation at Dr. Ludwig Seebauer in Munich, after they detected a cyst in his right foot.
Return dependant on healing process
Seebauer had already operated Kennedy on his ruptured tendon
Kennedy´s return to training with coach Hans Meyer´s team depends on the healing process after the operation.
From www.bundesliga.de/en/liga/clubs/1-fc-nuernberg/index.phpI hope he will be well soon. I will tell you when I know more

According to a local newspaper he will be out for 4 to 6 weeks. So he probably won't be fit for many minutes in the Bundesliga, but there may still be some hope for the Asian cup.

meggsi was subbed off in a 2-1 loss to Mainz. both goals scored before he was subbed.
better news for heff, he scored the second in a come from behind 3-1 win for 2.fcn in the bayernliga. from my guesswork on the german in the report, it says he got onto a long ball to score from 14m. sounds like heff! their defenders probably had no idea what the hell he was doing there, let alone how he got there that quickly!

It was rather a tactical substitution. We played with 4 attackers in the second half. It didn't help much... But it was against a good team that took their best two chances. We had even more but couldn't make much out of it.
Meggsi didn't look quite well before the second goal, but I wouldn't say he is responsible for it. Because the whole team was a mess in that situation and Meggsi was the last man against the attacker.
However today is the quarter final match for the German cup and Meggsi will quite likely be in the starting 11 again.

im sure meggsi will bounce back stronger than ever any word on a possible impression heff might be making now he is playing in the reserves? Not a personal one, but he seems to do quite well currently. However we're no through to the semi-final in the German cup. Meggsi played the full 120 minutes, which ended 0:0. He played very very good and stable. He didn't go for one of the penalties. We won 4:2 our second goalkeeper was subbed in the 119th minute and stopped two out of four shots from Hanover. Everyone is now talking about that brilliant substitution. Our second goalie was the guy who also stopped 4 penalties in the previous round.

Why do replays from other leagues look better in some way than our highlights? If you know what I mean....

On Saturday we lost in Bielefeld 2:3. Meggsi didn't play very well, but that may happen. Others were in a rather bad shape too. The whole team seemed to be tired after the cup match the Tuesday before.
Next match is already on Friday. Both central defenders that started together at the beginning of the season are now back. We will see who will play...
Meggsi was subbed in the 56th minute for Spiranovic, who also played 90 minutes (for the second time) in the U19 team and they have won.
Dean also played 90 minutes for the second team which ended 0:0
