Ronaldo did what ever it took to win the game, and if his words to the ref after the incident paid off for Portugal, good luck to him.
I don't see that this is any diferrent to that Italian player who fell over Lucas Neill .
If you are playing against your mate, whether it be in the park or in the World Cup, you are not mates while the game is on. You are mates when the ref blows for full time.

he shouldnt have got involved honestly. if i saw my mate do that, i would not run screaming in and push for a harsh penalty. i just wouldnt get involved.

There was no need for Rooney to push Ronaldo. He just succumbed to his temper and left England exposed. The only bright point was that Crouch came on and showed that Eriksson should have played with 2 up front.

All players at that level run in and talk to the ref. I dont think ronaldo done anything wrong, he didnt fall down to the ground and dive or do anything wrong.

he is an excellent footballer but a sly player - england however need a villian and he was out of order getting involved so he will pay the price.
as for rooney, he is apparently of pikey ancestry and lost his temper so can blame no one but himself.
sven is a bigger villian than ronaldo though, what a waste of money, £20 million for bugger all.

I fear it is no longer politically correct and it conjures up images of smokey caravans on the heath, surrounded by snotty nosed children (taught to steal at a very early age) and mangey lurchers. I think you meant to say he is descended from Irish Travelling stock. But I certainly get your meaning! The eyes betray the gaze of a lunatic.
