""MANCHESTER UNITED 2-0 LIVERPOOL
Paul Scholes, in his 500th game for the club, produced a trademark goal from midfield, scoring from close range from Ryan Giggs’ pass.
United maintained their authority in the second period and the game was put beyond an ordinary Liverpool when Rio Ferdinand crashed home his first goal of the season, in front of the biggest crowd to ever watch United at Old Trafford - 75,828.""
This rounds off a good start to the first quarter of the season for Manchester United. Always happy to beat the 'Pool. Very happy to be a Red Devil this morning, but bigger challenges await, including Chelsea home and away and Glasgow Celtic at Parkhead.
May the Glory be Manchester United's.
Regards,
AM

Liverpool were very poor - they have no chance this year! Their attack is very questionable this year!
Good on Utd thou - I hope they can stay close to Chelsea this year to make it a bit more exciting!

Good game...glad I stayed up! Rafa seems to have lost the plot a bit in my opinion. He needs to get back to basics. If they play a simple 4-4-2 with real wingers on each side and Crouch as one of the strikers, and Gerrard on the ball as much as possible, they will win more games than they'll lose or draw.

well done fella's. Fully deserved and no complaints. If a Manc had to score im glad it was Scholes . Legend.
I actually agree Tiger. As far as out and out wingers go , i think we have the best in the prem at our disposal. Just gotta use them!!

hard to take losing to manu. but obviously lots wrong in the red camp. rafa needs best eleven and to stick by that for a while.
i seen the highlights of the goals on sbs - can someone tell me whether scholes was offside.

I question if Liverpool turned up to play or stand around like a bunch of tossers - they had nothing - i am glad that about 6 years ago i chose Chelsea instead of Liverpool to follow lol

Dan,
Thanks for your congrats above; many people do not have the good grace to congratulate others when their team gets a bad result.
Look forward to our next game at your place early next year.
