Ronaldo now a Milan player From correspondents in Rome January 25, 2007 REAL Madrid has finally agreed to sell Brazil striker Ronaldo to AC Milan after thrashing out a deal during late-night talks, according to a report. The clubs' lengthy negotiations had stalled over a difference in their perception of the player's value; the Spanish giant refused to budge under €8 million ($13.31 million) and the Italians were stuck on € 5 million ($8.32 million). But according to Italian newspaper La Repubblica AC Milan is willing to pay Real €7.5 million ($12.48 million) for Ronaldo, who for the past while has been confined to Fabio Capello's substitutes' bench. The report said the 30-year-old Ronaldo, who played with AC Milan's city rival Inter between 1997 and 2002, is expected in Milan overnight for a medical. Ronaldo began his stint at Real in 2002 after a €45 million euros ($74.89 million) transfer from Inter. His contract with Real was set to expire in June 2008. WTF he wont do any better in terms of scoring goals but at least he might get some game time

AC Milan got 30 million pounds for Shevchenko, surely they could get someone better than Ronaldo. They could even buy Shevchenko back, i'm sure Mourinho wouldn't mind.

yes, it is official now - lumpy gone to ac and has a spit at capello
Real Madrid outcast Ronaldo has hit out at former coach Fabio Capello after completing his transfer to AC Milan, claiming the Italian never wanted him at the Primera Liga club.
After lengthy transfer negotiations, the 30-year-old Brazil international agreed an 18-month contract with the Rossoneri on Tuesday, putting pen to paper at Madrid's Bernabeu stadium.
Milan striker Ricardo Oliveira will move to Madrid on loan as part of the deal, Gazzetta said.
Ronaldo had fallen out of favour at Real and was eager to return to Serie A, where he had mixed fortunes with Milan's city rivals Internazionale between 1997 and 2002.
But in parting from the Spanish giants in a £5million (A12.6million) deal, Ronaldo could not resist the opportunity to highlight the apparent rift between himself and Capello when he spoke to reporters en route to Madrid airport.
"I would like to thank the Real Madrid fans for all their support throughout my time here - and my team-mates, those who are here and those who have left," he said.
"I would also like to thank all the coaches I have had, with the exception of one. It is sad to leave after four-and-a-half years at this club. I really felt at home but this is life."
"The truth is that the coach (Capello) never wanted me, I am a professional, I love football and I needed to find a solution."
"From tomorrow [Wednesday] I face a new challenge and I want to triumph again in Milan."
Ronaldo's comments are in stark contrast to those of Capello, who wished the striker well as he embarked on a fresh start in Italy.
"I know Ronaldo is a Milan player. I wish him the best of luck," he said. "I hope he does what he is capable of, which is to be a great player."
A three-time FIFA World Player of the Year, Ronaldo won the Primera Liga crown in his first year in the Spanish capital.
But the subsequent seasons were less successful with the player often struggling for form and fitness.
And Capello's decision to opt for a more youthful, athletic Madrid side eventually forced him out.
Nevertheless, Ronaldo's departure comes at a time when Real are having trouble in front of goal, with the club having scored just 28 goals in 20 league games this season - their worst goals-per-game ratio in 16 years.
Ronaldo started his career at Brazilian side Cruzeiro before joining PSV Eindhoven.
After shining at the Philips Stadion, he secured a move to Barcelona, where he was hugely successful, before an injury-plagued spell at Inter.
