yes, believe it or not, the tournament's still going! iraq beat korea 5-3 on penalties after a 0-0 draw. Yes and what a rain soaked marathon that was. In the end the Koreans were out on their feet and their keeper (like ours) had shot his bag of penalty savings tricks. Japan down 2-3 to Saudi Arabia. So in a SE Asian Cup, it is two Gulf neighbours in the final. It must have been lead rain in Iraq last night!

Reports on the news of celebration in the town square of Baghdad, and nearby by a car bomb explosion kills 30 people..talk about a contrast. Good to see the both the lesser fancied sides advance.

Also, when Iraq won the game before this one, 50 people were injured and 3 killed by FALLING BULLETS after the fans celebrated by firing into the air.

Maybe it would be safer for all if they lost?? Maybe not. They could get really upset cause they lost and cause the same amount of trouble.

I think they tested it on Myth Busters at one stage... can't remeber what the result was though

I can honestly say that id love to see Iraq win. After watching tv for more years now than I can remember and seeing the people of that country suffer so much, then turning it on this morning and seeing the streets PACKED with people in celebration, it really feels great to know that my sport is helping to make these peoples lives that little bit better in this troubled time.
