10. Anything off the 6 John Frusciante releases this year. I'm not alone! Huge huge fan tiger. Did you get all the releases? Ever since Hillel Slovak died and he stepped into pepperdom ive been an admirer. He's current work is crazy-insane and is nice alternative to the radio friendly chilis of recent albums.

Yeah, it'd be about 15 times (which is less than some of the others - I know I'm old but I'm not giving it up yet!) Sashes would be my favourite TSJ live but the list was in no particular order (as stated). Hercules was probably my fave Oils live song (and IMO the strongest song on Scream in Blue) but i kinda lost it with them (for several reasons around) Earth, Sun & Moon.

Actually, Blue Sashes is one on the list that can make me get misty (well, moisty) eyes, not necessarily from the lyrics but just 'cause the rock's so f***cking good.
That's probably abnormal (and is a feeling you can ONLY get in a sweaty pub, not an Ent Cent) but who gives a ****

8. Paradise by the Dashboard Light - Meatloaf There was very close to being a Meatloaf song in the O.S. Live list, also was hard to pick between Paradise (which I love) and 1 or 2 others. I will have to chase up your (need to be pissed first) Meatloaf story at some stage.

I will have to chase up your (need to be pissed first) Meatloaf story at some stage. The Meatloaf story is a beauty becuase it ties in meatloaf, soccer and his very hot daughter I used to go and see the Jets under age at the Bel Air Hotel in Kotara which is now a McDonalds. Only about twenty people but the crowd used to grow every week until people were hanging out the doors and they had to move to the Cambridge and Palais. So I can truly say I was there at the beginning. Did you ever see a band called Judge Mercy? Izzy was the guitarist and he is now with the Jets.

I probably like the way Jimi the Human combined with Grant better And Richard Lara (who later did a stint in the Choirboys) seemed to me to be a very strange man. (But then he was there for the studio version of Blue Sashes).

You're right it's something a bit different, a nice change from the usual fare. Cant wait for the chilis new album though, it's been put back to early 2006

1. Into My Arms - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds This song was actually on in the background, on Music Max, as I started reading this thread. Which is kinda weird as it's not the type of song you hear every day.

Am really looking forward to it also. Since touring with Mars Volta for so long they have had a big influence on the latest chili material according to john. Should add a complex sound to things. John himself has just recorded a single with Omar from MV, to be released on record collection.

I read the other day John saying that the new stuff is heavier than anything the chili's have done before, which could be really good or really bad (flashback's to One Hot Minute happening). It's a pity that this and the new PJ album have both been delayed til early next year, but hopefully they'll both be worth the wait.
