By the way Omni how is your general knowledge. For a schooner equivalent; Who was the English captain who came from Yorkshire, toured Australia but did not play in a test? Captain James Cook!

Ah, but I believe that although he was the 'captain' of the ship his rank was only a Leutenant (sp?) when he came here - he was made Captain later!

Well done D.J. catch me next time in the Kendall. An oldie but a goodie. James Cook was in rank a Lieutenant but was Captain of the Endeavour. I believe he never made post rank, however I stand to be corrected. A captain may be a lieutenant, a commander, a lieutenant commander or surprisingly a captain. One for the pedants. Lift a leg I'm on Nelson (111).

Yes and the commentry from sky sports is SO balanced: 'well they've got noone to blame but themselves', based on their prior commentry if it was an english bowler he would have said 'now that call is just aboslute rubbish I mean he's only an inch over the line, how could he have seen that.'
Is this on a bowlers wicket, untill Australia get in and belt it around and it becomes a batsmans paradise?

No - they said it looks a very good wicket and it was important toss to win!
Botham is a very honest commentator and yes it was McGraths fault for stepping over the line, if it was Harmison that it happened to Botham would have said the same thing. A world class bowler knows his run up and it was unfortunate for Oz that McGrath f***ed it on that occaision. Thats cricket thou, you get a bit of luck as a batsman and then go on to make 150+, it was Vaughans lucky day!

McGraths injury has hampered his run-up, no doubt about it. It must be the poor preparation with the late inclusions or something but they are out of sorts in the field! Australia dont drop catches! Maybe Roy Keane said to them on the way out anyone who takes a catch is going to get their knee caps broken. Could fight back at the end of the day.
What will Australia's attack be in the next test? I think They will give Tait his chance. Might liven things up a bit.

Australia do drop catches They have steadily dropped more and more over the past three years The only difference is that they have got away with it against inferior opposition

We can't field!! four dropped catches in a day is totally unacceptable from not just a professional team but an international one and supposedly the best in the world. Australia is discovering teams aren't scared of them anymore, our dominance of world cricket is OVER.
What about a a dropped catch then off stump doing cartwheels off a no ball in successive balls!
Although I'm an Aussie fan I enjoy seeing them get a taste of what losing is about, it will make them better people
