it seems there is a band from newcastle called The Ancient Marinators
found it in a yahoo search for Marinators

Yeah celery or kevrenor i think brought them up when doing origins and the history of the word. Search engine results for marinators usually bring up loads about them, marinating products and then a lot further down the line stuff about us filters through, the first i got on google was the marinator born article on back of the net.
