I remember there was a thread discussing the areas to live in Gosford and the surrounding area, think it may have got lost during the server problems.
Can anyone help out:
I have 3 kids 4 and under, one starting school in January. I want to rent a 3-4 bedroom place in a 'nice' area (one without groups of wannabee gangstas hanging round the streets) for about $300 a week. Not too fussed if it is not one of the near coastal suburbs.
So whats a good suburb for my price range?
What ones should I avoid as they are full of dole bluding junkies?
Good schools to send my kids to?
And any other info you can provide in general about places to live in Gosford.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers
Andy

Close to Gosford, the freeway, and Umina Beach. Also on the train line closer to Sydney and right on Brisbane Water. It has a beautiful natural environment with the water and Brisbane Water National Park behind. Heaps of park and playgrounds for kids. There is a cracker of a primary school at Point Clare.

I'd say anywhere south of Tuggerah, east of the freeway, and north of Umina. But hey, I wouldn't want to inflame Coast stereotypes now, would I??

depends what you want really - i like berkeley vale as I am close to the freeway, 5 mins from westfield, 5-10 mins from toowoon bay (which is 1 of the best on the coast), close to work, not too far from erina - each to their own at the end of the day!

Didn't you believe me then! ;D Nah mate, of course I trust your judgement, just really need to move to an area with a good school as we will have trouble, given the short timeframe, of getting Liam into a school outside of the area we move to. Does anyone have any views on the primary schools in Wyoming light side up to Narara, Niagara etc. Also Erina and Tascott, Kariong and around that way? Cheers for all the input. Andy

Andy Erina Public School is next to housing commission where there was a murder a few months ago, but apart from that it is a good school. The school next to Tascott is Point Clare public and is a quaint, respectable school. Don't know about the others.

Noticed a homeless guy set-up under the Brian McGowan under pass. No rent, CCStadium would be at the end of your 'drive-way'. Short stroll to Gosford Primary on the other side of the bridge and what about the waterfront view. Surely the only reason he's there. As they say - Location, Location, Location. ;D
