Fifth time I've heard that song on the radio today.
Should be renamed to "Wake me up when this song ends"

as much as i am not a fan of mariah carey, she has an amazing 6 octave range (or something similarly ridiculous).. if she could shed the skanky diva thing, she could be great

I actually like Greenday. I think that's what the song is about but how do you explain the '7 years', '20 years' lyrics. He says it's a tribute to his father.
Admittedly not the best song on that album, we all know the best song on there is Jesus of Suburbia.
Not in my top 5 bands list though.

Green Day have been around for years they obviously have done something right! yeah the american music scene can support a lot more bands and genres than what the aussie scene can. bands over there can live of giging if they have skill and fans. oh and with this album they got major distrubution behind them hence why it's been pushed on the public so much. but i don't think they wouldn't of made this album if they didn't have that support and it would of been a more cult album with the punk community rather than with everyone. yeah it was a tribute to his dad but it also seemed to suit the events that were happening at the time. i think anybody has the right to comment on world politics, i fail to see people bitching about the punkvoter website/movement that was pushed by mike burnett(?) from nofx, the rock against bush albums. so they are a bit higher profile at the moment and can push there views, if you agree with them or not people will have them.

At the end of the day it depends whether you like that type of music
