Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year and Summer Solstice is the longest

Equinox is equal day and night. Google knows all.

Summer & Winter have Solstices and Spring & Autumn have Equinoxes it's all to do with the earth's tilt and hemispheres.

i personally miss winter christmases because i love to snowboard over the holidays.... and drink profuse amounts of hot chocolate with my dad in the lodge as me make fun of each other's abilities... nostalgia mate
