I enjoyed a pie at a special marinator price with pieman this arvo before heading over to watch the launch. Not many marinators but plenty of people there, the Mariners really seem to be appealing to the kids which is of course what they need to do to be successful. Golden Boy is loving his new jersey, luckily he still got his birthday present after his performance last saturday.

I was at erina and ducked out of sta travel to see the boys at rebel
Not too busy as Rebel is stuck out the back.
Fergie offerred to show me the golf section and give me some tips on my swing. Pleasantly declined the offer as the store was a bit empty.

I attended the Tuggerah launch, met with WT, Fish and Golden Boy. Also met DJ later over at Rebel sussing out the jerseys. I think it was a night mainly to get the kids more involved, so most of the adults tended to hold back which was good. Lots of autographs being handed out. Tobin should sign up the youngster who managed to head the ball 14 times! I bought a home jersey at Rebel, and asked Ben from the Mariners if the players could sign it, which wasn't a problem at all. Ben even did the rounds and got the signatures for me which was nice. Spoke briefly to Michael Beauchamp and congratulated him on his call up as emergency player for the Socceroos, and also to John Crawley as it was all finishing. John laughed at the suggestion that he'd have to do all his good work in the first half, 'cause some Marinators forget the second half when the drinks kick in! I took some pics using a 35mm SLR, but I don't know if they're much good given the lighting. Will get them developed today and see what I have.

Sully did well by reading the question and answer in the same sentence during the trivia. He asked something like "The Marinators are the hardcore group of fans behind the goals. What is their name?" Jersey looks much better in person, i like the diagonal yellow stripes that you couldn't see in the photo's.

For those in Sydney, or working in the CBD.
I went into MickSimmons Sports Store in George St (opp QVB) today and they had Mariners home shirts ($119.95) and scarves, but that is all at present.
