Thats right. Bloke had a unique outlook on life. very very quick witted.
He wanted " I told you i was ill " engraved on his headstone, but i think his family blocked the idea. Shame.

Ah! Thats right. Thats the only way the fam would allow it. Took 2 years apparently, a lot of infighting. Bloody hell, if spike wanted it they shouldve granted his wish straight away. Testamant to the blokes wonderful outlook on life, that he still wants people to have a laugh when he's gone.

Spike had troubles with depression and really fought some gremlins in his personality all his life. But I am glad he will be remembered for his fantastic wit, eccentricity, and putting Woy Woy on the map! "I told you I was ill" is a fantastic epitaph IMHO.

maybe I'm lucky - I've never seen Woy Woy (I guess it was named by someone with a stutter?)
I'll have to drive by on Sunday when I come to the game!

I saw the show on abc, and in my opinion it was incorrectly titled. It was barely about Spike Milligan, rather his daughter and family. I, being a young fella, don't know much of Spike's work. I've never heard the Goon show or read any of his books and was hoping to get an idea of how funny the bloke was but unfortunately the show didn't give me any insight into the man's comedy. 1 and a half stars for me. What did you think Margaret Pomeranz?
