Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology New South Wales TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST NSW SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for LARGE HAILSTONES, DESTRUCTIVE WIND and VERY HEAVY RAINFALL For people in the Northwest Plains, Northwest Slopes, Illawarra, Hunter, Metropolitan and parts of the Central West Slopes and Central Tablelands Forecast Districts. Issued at 1:36 PM Thursday, 10 November 2005. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones, destructive winds and very heavy rainfall in the warning area over the next several hours. Major locations within the warning area include Gosford, Sydney, Wollongong, Nowra, Tamworth and Moree. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move your car under cover or away from trees. * Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony. * Keep clear of fallen power lines. * Keep clear of creeks and storm drains. * Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water. * Unplug computers and appliances. * Avoid using the phone during the storm. * Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well. * For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 13 2500. The next warning is due to be issued by 4:30 PM. This warning is also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 218. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate this warning being broadcast regularly.

I'm up on a hill facing west at Forries, and it is just a bit windy here atm, and a few grey couds.
No sign of big scary clouds yet.
A bit scared. Hold me. ;D

yes, i was listening to the radio at around 4pm and it said: " a severe storm can be expected and it will stay for seven hours. *whatever* its 8:15 and no ain at all n the wyoming area so far.

the bloody weather peole have been rather bad lately, yester day i heard on the radio that the temperature would rise but 10 degrees, and there would be no wind, although i was quite comfortable walking around schol in my long pants, itd be greatif it was like that more often. Anyway. as i mentioned in my last post *points up* but later they said the storm hit newcastle instead.
