I would like to know everyones opinion on who they think the next big name player to join the A-League will be.
For me, I believe it will be Andy Cole, because he is still mates with Yorke, and will probably come after talking with him. And the fact QLD was after him. Or possibly Teddy Sheringham, for obvious reasons, plus QLD was after him.

Who knows? It would be good to see someone like Andy Cole, I can't see Sheringham coming over now he will be about 40/41 for the start of next season that's too old I reckon! Cole is still firing in the Premiership with Man City where as Yorke was struggling at Birmingham when he left so I can see Cole sticking around while he can still get the money in the Premiership.
If Ferguson comes to Oz it will be with me Mariners I believe.

Di Canio wouldn't come over - he always wanted to end his career in Italy and with Lazio if he could.
Robbie Fowler?

I wouldn't be surprised if some ex-socceroos coming to the end of their career came back.

There will be a few of the Socceroos coming back after the World Cup. Stan Lazaridids has already mentioned the likelihood of his return. Other than that I would love to see an A-League club sign Robbie Fowler. He is struggling to get a run at Manchester City. It seems Stuart Pearce prefers Bradley Wright-Philips at the moment. Fowler is a classy player and it would be very exciting to see him play here.

Zola played for Cagliari for 1-2 seasons. He has since retired.
Fowler would be bloody great, but dont think he would come 2 Australia just yet.
And there is probably no chance that we will ever get an ex socceroo at the mariners, as Sydney has the money 2 buy whoever they want, and every1 else would probably go 2 either Melb or Adel. Correct me if im wrong.
