I went to school with Anu from year 7 to Year 12 (St Pius X Adamstown then St Francis Xaviers, Hamilton). She was a beautiful and extremely intelligent girl of Indian desent.
Joe Cinque was a year above me in school and best friends with my next door neighbour.
I knew both of them well but lost touch after school.
The transcript was about Anu murdering Joe and the subsequent trial, convictions and family reactions.
The story also spawned a book by Helen Garner called "Joe Cinque's Consolation".
Shows what drugs and mental illness to do a girl who seemingly had the world at her feet.
