A planet. Its a dwarf planet so get your space books out and update it by puting a cross through it. Pluto no longer belongs. www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,20247169-5001021,00.html Just copy and paste it i can't get it to work today.

I'm not happy with that decision. I like pluto, its one of my favorite planets. It will always be a planet to me.

What, it's not like Pluto was blown up, I'm sick of this anti-Pluto attitude!
Somebody get DOOP on the case.

Pluto has just been demoted, its not really much of a planet anyway, its moon is almost as big as it is

makes perfect sense - doesn't orbit on the orbital plane, it and its co-sattelite Charon rotate around a common point that is not within either's diameter, bears no resemblance to any nearby sattelites and is smaller than at least one (and likely many) objects further out in the kuiper belt.
it's not a plantet.
that said, as a ball of ice and rock it really doesn't care one way or another.

It will always be a planet to me. F#$k the MAN! I do not get why its different orbit would declassify it as a planet. In the entire rest of science, there is always an exception to the rule, which still counts. But why not poor little pluto? I for one have decided i will boycott all things science until Plutos status is reinstated

if pluto's a planet, there's wall to wall insignificant snowballs that will also be called planets. the problem isn't going from nine to eight in that case, it's going from nine to perhaps a hundred. the new definition is scientifically tidy, and calls pluto what it is, rather than what we've always called it.
dolphins look like fish but they ain't. pluto looks like a planet, but it ain't.
