hey all just new to this forum and wonderin 2 things how the bloody hell do i use this forum, it aint easy and i am a bit retarded which doesnt help but yeh if someone doesnt mind givin us a brief overview it would be greatly appreciated also who come up with the name hoover for us and what does it represent

everyone this is the great Andrew Smyth, known to most as Gary, short for Gazza, short for Gascoigne.
hopefully Aubs can explain to you Gary why you are called Hoover.

thanks adz just tryin to work it out to bloody get involved but yeh probably different reasons adz but iv been told it was aubs so if anyone finds out tell us also how do i puit a picture on, also how does my status improve

Mate, the name Hoover was coined because you bear more than a passing resemblance to the man who ran the FBI for more than 50 years, the great J. Edgar Hoover. He was shaped just like you, and the nickname seems perfectly natural. Google him, get a photo, and check it out.

Hoover, you're doing pretty well so far. if by status you mean the stars and crud, that goes up by the number of posts you posted, or at least that's what ive been thinking.. If you want to put in a picture of your own you need to up load it at www.photobucket.com then click on 'profile' in the top right handish corner on the next page it will say 'members bio to the right of that it says 'modify profle' click on it. Here is where you can change your avatar, go to the image on photobucket, copy the URL and paste it in the the box labelled 'avatar URL' choose the width and height or whatever you call it and you're done. to get an image straight from google or a website: * right click on the image so a box appears with save picture as, email picture etc *go down to 'properties and click on it. * a new window should open and within it it should have 'web address (URL)' then the URl. example of url: www.marinators.net/images/stories/yellow/mariners_banner.jpgyeah anyway, everyone who has just read the above crap will proabbaly notice that their IQ has dropped by 9, dont blame me. |

many thanx greanpea as well. ive been on for a while but don't admit that i still dont know the fine points as well. least admitting defeat but the one thing i need to know is how do you box up quotes from the previous peoples views.
