. As a former staunch defender of the good old Aussie pie, I was shocked to find myseld munching on a sausage roll after the shop ran out of pies and enjoying it. So Which do you prefer???

when i was living in newtown and my football games were on saturdays, i used to stagger home to newtown from the team pub in forest lodge via a little cake shop called 'crispy inn' on king st, and grab a steak bacon and cheese pie. sometimes two. the place always smells fantastic and in a triumph of business strategy stayed open basically through the night on weekends so suiting pissed idiots like myself in search of nocturnal nutrition.

I'd have to say pie for sure. I'm a bit boring and prefer the traditional meat pie or a potato pie.
I like sausage rolls only for the fact you can eat it with one hand. I need two hands to eat a meat pie. Major downfall of the sausage roll is the after taste.

Sausuage rolls - Australia's favourite meat flavoured cardboard/rat amalgam...

I am a fan of the bruno burger.
This is a sausage roll mashed into a long breadroll with lots of tomato sauce.
A GI and calorie nightmare!

hey! this isn't 'what snack do you want', it's what sort of pie! if it was what sort of snack, then i'd be picking carr's watercrackers with pate and beluga caviar washed down by a cheeky semillon,* but it ain't, so i ain't. * not really, but some chips and gravy and a coke zero would hit the spot right about now.
