seems to be a lot of jail-experts among the forum alumni...is there something you're not telling us mick, dibo? If he’s found guilty and jailed I’d personally be really disappointed if he was bashed in jail... I’d prefer that he was stuck with spending the rest of his days thinking about the boys he’s abused and the life and career he threw away. Waking up every morning with that as your first thought would be more painful than any beating, and if he’s guilty of what he’s been charged with, then the pain would be well deserved. Pain is pain. You either feel he deserves to experience pain or you don't. Whether it's pain that comes from a beat-down or pain that is self inflicted through the realization of guilt, it's still pain. Milton waking up every morning and experiencing pain from the realization of his guilt stemming from his actions 'could', over time, diminish. However waking up every day not knowing if 'today is going to entail another beat-down' or possible death from a fellow prisoner I believe is far more psychologically 'painful' day in day out, having to live with that 'fear' and the pain that fear can manifest in someone. Much like the pain that was inflicted on his victims (if he's guilty that is), a pain that is a resultant of things associated from sexual abuse incidents, fear being just one of many.

Some criminals have no conscience. Stuff that makes psychologists write books about. So putting them away doesn;t make those without a conscience realise they've doen a wrong, it's juts merely downtime for them until they get out and start it over again. Sex crimes are the hardest probably to rehabilitate from. While some folks change the type of person they find sexually attractive, the core of their predilection is still there. So if someone has a predilection for young boys they are doomed to repeat the offense if they have troubles controlling themselves. And a castration isn;t the way to go either, cause a sexual attraction is part emotive too, so you'd have to give them a lobotomy to control all their sexual attractions if they were attracted to children. The number of charges brought against Milton is large, but I wander how many separate alleged victims there are?
