went to see this last night............wondered what other people thought of it? Personally I think it was a let down  It was really slow, too long for what it was and had a very strange story line IMO. Reminded me of the Matrix Trilogy, great first movie, good second and poor third. |

DJ - no surprises there, the concept had already started to disintegrate in the 2nd. I just thought they tried way too hard with some bits. Didn't like the walking sea creatures thing, and the bits where Jack Sparrow were talking those confusing convoluted sentences just reaked of trying way too hard to be as cool as it was in the first. I dunno, I actually found the 2nd one to be a touch kiddish. Downright corny (in the bad way) in some parts. Like the matrix, should've left it at a single movie.
Still, I'll be definitely seeing it though.

I have not seen the 3rd but the 2nd was unnecessary. I don't have much of an inclination to see this at the cinema. I can however recommend the movie Zodiac.

I can however recommend the movie Zodiac. great movie. i did enjoy pirates 3, but it wasnt as good as the 1st. story line went everywhere but great for most of the 2nd and 3rd movies. |

Im going up to tuggerah this Friday to see it with some mates. Hopefully its not too bad.
Apparently they made the first movie with no intent to do a second or third, because no one knew if it would be a success or not.
I don't like Orlando in Pirates, they way he delivers some of those lines seems really awkward. In the first one and he says 'No heroes amongst these then.' Annoys me so much. Whether it's just him the characters mean to sound like that I don't know, and don't care. I don't like it.

It’s easy to miss things because they have so many storylines, but with action scenes like those, you don’t need to follow them. |

Bah, these/thieves. close enough ;D I find the plot is a little difficult to follow, like in the second movie how it turns out wills dad didnt cark it, becuae he was cursed, so therefore he couldnt die. yadda yadda yadda. |
