You have to think that the NRL would be bitterly disappointed with this Saturday night crowd in Gosford.
The Knights would have brought heaps, Roosters some - leaving what I guess a miserly few thousand from Gosford proper.

11,264!  that's pretty poor for a 'rugby league area', seemingly starved of top flight rugby league. potential excuses - knights had just sacked half their team, roosters are the worst team in the comp (saving my own dragons from the indignity), the socceroos (only at the ground or on pay tv though) and wallabies were playing, the weather was too perfect, so people went for a stroll instead?... really, that's very very poor.

Did the other game there this year sell out??? crowd was around 17000 but i am told only 6000 of those came from central coast postcodes |

Much rather watch lawn bowls than league.
