Merrillie and I are very proud to announce that Merrillie's elder daughter Stephanie gave birth to:
HANNAH SKYE OLIVER, 7 pounds, 51cm long
at 12.10pm today, at the Orange Base Hospital. Mum, Dad and the little one are both fine. Grandma Merry is over the moon, with many tears being shed by the gentle one this afternoon. Merry's family have lost their patriarch recently, and great-grandma is in ICU at present, so this little ray of sunshine is most welcome.
It seems quite surreal that many of our friends are having their first child and, at 39 and 42, we are now a FULL generation past that stage. Not sure if I want to be called Grandad or Pop, I reckon just David will be fine, tyvm.
A bottle of bubbly and girlfriend Madonna (the thinking man's favourite female pop star!!) at full tilt are on the cards this evening.
I will be purchasing Central Coast Mariners and Manchester United apparel for Miss Hannah very shortly. We hope to bring Miss Hannah to the footy at Bluetongue sometime soon.

Ty all, baby Hannah is adorable we are totally wrapped my only complaint is she wont stay awake long enough to play with. Although she is quite content to be passed around for cuddles while asleep. I tried to post up some pictures but something isnt obliging. There are some, hmmm make that lots in my photo gallery though :-) including grandpa shrek. www.merrillie.net/gallery2 |
