1. Don Parkes - a Central Coast resident for many years who is seen as the number one Australian football supporter. Has followed the Australian national teams since the Melbourne Olympics and has been to all and some away games that the Socceroos have played including Canada, Scotland, Argentina and U-r-gay. Highly respected by Sydney's Bay 23 boys - the original Sydney Soceroo supporters.
2. Ian Ferguson - Scottish legend capped nine times for his country. Nearly 300 caps for Rangers he was part of the squad that won nine league titles in a row. Mariners assistant coach popular with the fans and well known for his golf swing.
3. John Crawley - the rock of the Matriners defence and undoubtably in the top two best goalkeepers in the A-League. Friendly and supportive of the Mariners.
4. John Singleton - if he agrees. One of the most influential persons in this country. Media and ad-man genius who sits on the board of the FFA. Local (Mt White) resident who owns the management and marketing rights to the Central Coast Stadium.
5. Wayne O'Sullivan - former Irish youth international. Epitomises everything that is good about the Mariners. Hard-working, skillfull and gets 100% every game. Already becoming a Marinators favourite. Was popular with the fans at Northern Spirit and has already endeared himself to the Marinators with his open and approachable demeanor.

That should say WHO would you like the patron to be?
I hate posting on forums because I am a slow typer and think ahead of what I am typing and I always miss out words!

What role will the patron serve other than for us to get other fans jealous because ours is higher profile or whatever?

If Fergie wins the vote, I will have to loan you all my DVD "The Last True Blue" starring Ian Ferguson, midfield hard man to be played at the launch at the Leagues Club!! (The beginning is quite cool - slow mo shots of Fergie on patrol with very dramatic classical music in the background...) ;D

I would have him in my team any day of the week as well as Petrie. These Guys play for the shirt and the badge. That's why I don't want a Marquee player they are mercinaries and have no passion. I can't wait for the day Clarke or Beauchamp or both put Yorke up in the air for the first time!! ;D

I had to go for 'singo' purley for the fact that he is extremely high profile (not to mention 'fair dinkum' ), calls a spade a spade and for what he 'could' do for the Mariners.

The news that the Gold Coast have beaten the Central Coast to be the 16th team in the NRL, in circumstances where we were badly snubbed, would surely help Singo decide that getting behind thw Mariners is the way to go. Support the coast, and compete against those scurvy rugby dogs.

Barbecue at the moment, anyone who has seen me will know what a skinny lad I am but there's deadset always at least 5 boxes of shapes in the cupboard at my place at any given time, all BBQ and Pizza. I'm a box a day man.
There's nothin better than a box of shapes and a can of coke whilst checking the forums on a beautiful saturday morning.
EDIT: I just realised it's not quite morning anymore but I slept in and have only been up for a couple of hours so shut up its still morning for me
