Sunday June 12
Central Coast Rhinos v Canberra Knights
Starts at 5pm Erina Ice World.
Tickets are $12.60
I phoned Erina Ice World and they said there are 500 seats (first come first served) and that they generally sell out. Tickets can be pre-purchased.
Thoughts?

They sell out 500 seats? Jesus.
At least we have a few weeks to organise. I think we better get a list of people who are definitely coming in this thread ASAP so we know how many tickets we will need.
I'll be there!

Just spoke to Don Blunt who is the co-owner of the Rhinos with Bob Roberts.
He is welcoming us with open arms and keen to have us on board.
He said that he is approaching the Mariners to see if the players want to come as well.
He said that we are welcome to join him and the team at Arizonas (bar next to Erina Ice World) after the game for a post-game drink.
He said, being a tin shed indoors, the atmosphere generated is fantastic.
Boys, it's on - let's go and raise this roof!!!!!

Mate, I'll go, for sure! I've always liked Ice Hockey, and I actually went to the National League games they had up here last season, that were played as a test run for our own team. My missus works with the Sydney Bears captain (Tyler Lovering, who is also the Oz NT captain...yes, we have an Oz Ice Hockey NT and he set us up with freebies. It was probably about 4/5th's full both times, too. Not a bad atmosphere. They hit bloody hard in this game, harder than you'd think, and it is actually a pretty decent standard, for what it's worth. A large portion of the league is made up of ex Canadian and USA nationals who couldn't quite cut it in the bigger North American Leagues and were attracted to Australia for a working holiday. It will be great practise for the Marinators. I'm sure you guys would like it, even for novelty value, or the chance to support the Coasts only other Australian National League team brothers. They're playing the Sydney Bears tomorrow arvo, incidently. Arizona's next door has an indoor and outdoor bar area which is pretty nice, although I will warn you they charge about $6895 for a beer. ;D

Good one MM. I'll be there for sure. I'll make sure I get my tickets early. I did think I may be able to negotiate free (or discounted) tickets for all marinators in return for maybe showing some of the 'Rhino' supporters about starting their own 'rowdy' group, and perhaps getting the press involved...seems like there would be no way if they're already selling out! What are the chances of getting the press involved anyway ..."Marinators on the prowl again!" type stuff? And we're all in 'marinators' yellow of course?

Is there any interest in the 'Roosters v Raiders' at the stadium next week? (28th May) We could try 'comandearing' bay16 and see if the press give us a mention as its bound to be in the local papers?

Yeah, RHINOS seems to fit into chants so much easier than MARINERS does! Still, you Marinators have managed to work up a decent songbook nonetheless ...

What a top plan. I've got a good group of people going anyway. Another 10 or so to help the cause if required. Also, count me in for the rhino's game
