Couldn't find the old thread so started this new one. just playing around with some images...what do we have in mind?... I was thinking approx 6m x 2m for the back wall? and this reverse image... is this easier on the eye? of course, remembering a couple of things like: 1/this is a computer image (a rough one at that)and harder on the eye than a real banner. 2/night games/early evening games the yellow would be easier to see (just look at the 'fans forum' header pic to get an idea of how dark that back wall is!)

Dont know how it will look in real life, but the colour scheme of blue on yellow is a bit hard on the eye. I think the blue background is better with the light writing/image. And if we will be wearing predominately yellow shirts (which I predict we will be) the blue would be a nice contrast as well.

The first banner will be long and just have the work Marinators on it
Length is needed with little width so it can fit along the front of the fence

I like 'em both Lou, the second 1 has a better skull n bones picture I think and WT is right it's easier on the eyes.

No worries, leave it with ya.

Like em both. Go for the back wall. We don't want something easy on the eyes we want something to knock them out!

I prefer the blue. Remember we will be standing during the games - the only reason you could see Bling FC's banner was because no one bothered to show up. We do want it to stand out but we also want it to be readable, maybe an aussie gold would be good for yellow but not fluro yellow.

Just a thought, would security allow a banner to be hanging over the fence like that

Lou, if you want my professional opinon, I am in marketing and visual displays.
I think the 3rd one is the better one, Yellow background, good size skull and bones.
I would suggest though to balance the picture you make the mariners logo the same size as the skull and bones.
Without the stadiums permission i think you would find it hard to hang anything on the back wall but cant see why you couldnt drape it over the front and if it got questioned then perhaps the front row could hold it up or tie onto their seat s or something

I think the stadium would want a good relationship with us and would let us put it wherever as long as we didn't cover up any advertising. Lou - After thinking about it I'm sure any of them would be fine in real life as far 'easiness on the eyes.' Its just the computer screen methinks. It's not like you needed sunglasses to look at the yellow sea in bay 16

I agree with Ursus and MarinatorMum - yellow as the primary colour - will be more noticable, especially on TEEVEE.

back wall has advertising - that's why i was thinking of the front it'd be good to have both eventually + whatever else we want to chuck in and around the bay. if we are going to need co-operation from the stadium to put one on the back wall, save that for later when we have a better relationship. if the front will mean no dramas, start there!
